Growing Up Big In A Small Town...

I've lived in Mount Airy, North Carolina, all of my life. It's a relatively small town, with approximately 8,500 residents. This is the birthplace of Andy Griffith, the notorious Sheriff Andy Taylor. A lot of our revenue comes from tourism, as many folks travel here to eat at Snappy Lunch or get a hair cut at Floyd's Barber Shop. Being a teenager here is not the most exciting thing in the world, but if I could choose between living here or living in a big city, I'd most definitely choose here. My High School

I am a senior at Mt. Airy Senior High School. We are a 1A school, with approximately 536 students. Our Varsity Men's Basketball team won the State 1A Championship title last year. Known as the Granite Bears, our bark is just as big as our bite! For more information on my alma mater, Click Here.
