Latanya Cain scored four or more goals for the sixth time this season, leading the Pinecrest girls' soccer team to a 10-0 victory at Seventy-First Monday night. The Patriots, 10-1-1 overall, completed the first half of their Mid-Southeastern Conference schedule with a 7-0 mark. This evening, they travel to Douglas Byrd. With a number of the varsity players off on a school trip to Italy, the Patriot squad that faced the Falcons included members of the junior varsity team. The Patriots scored their 10th goal with about five minutes remaining, ending the match under the league's 10-goal mercy rule. The goal scorers were Cain (four), Bailey Pages (two), Holly Germain (two), Amber Fernandez and Ashlyn Douglas. Credited with assists were Pages (two), Caitlin McArdle, Cain, Ashley Sweeting, Alex Zoellner and Brittany Ritter.
