The long trip to Rocky Mount proved to be a fruitful one for the Pinecrest girls' soccer team on Monday.      Caitlin McArdle linked up with Morgan Maples and Latanya Cain for first-half goals that spurred the Patriots to a 4-0 season-opening victory.      Maples and Cain also scored in the second half with Rachel Dokich and Cain receiving credit for assists. Sarah Dejak and Keely Harbour shared the goalkeeping for the winners.      Coach Larry Martin's squad opens the season with three road games in a row. On Friday, the Patriots travel to Wilmington Hoggard to meet the team that knocked them out of last year's state 4-A tournament in the second round.
