PATRIOT GIRLS FACE SCOTLAND

     The Pinecrest girls will be hoping to get back in the win column when they take on Scotland County in Laurinburg this evening at 7 p.m.
     The Patriots (9-2-1) lost 5-0 to Leesville Road and 5-2 to Burlington Williams over the weekend at the Brittany Willis Memorial Soccer Showcase held in Wilson.
     The losses to the two highly ranked teams dropped the Patriots from eighth place to 14th in this week's state 4-A poll.
     In Saturday's loss to Williams, the Pats' Latanya Cain opened the scoring. But Williams took command by responding with four unanswered goals. Cain scored again later in the match.
     The Patriots take a 7-0 mark in the Mid-Southeastern Conference into the match against Scotland.
     The Scots (7-1-1, 5-1-1 conference) gave the Pats a tussle in the first meeting between the teams three weeks ago, taking an early 1-0 lead before falling 4-2
