Pinecrest completed a sweep of the Mid-Southeastern Conference and lit the candles on the cake for its ninth consecutive conference title with wins over Seventy-First and Douglas Byrd. The Patriots shutout Seventy First 6-0 in a Senior Night home victory on Tuesday night, then traveled to Fayetteville on Wednesday where they delivered a 9-1 loss to the Douglas Byrd Eagles. Michael White got the first of a pair of goals when he punched in a penalty kick to start the scoring for the Patriots against the Falcons in Tuesday’s contest. Russell Stewart, Brandon Zoellner, Tommy Ransdell and Marco Gironda all put points on the board for Pinecrest. Assists were recorded by Matt Sessoms (two), Travis Grasso and Tyler Dawson.
