"Finally you're here. How'd the audition go?" Brian asked as he opened the door. "We were wondering where you were--" He said stopping when he saw Donna.
"This is Donna." AJ explained. "She's one of our new dancer's." He said.
"Ok, hi Donna, I'm Brian." He said shaking her hand.
"Can she use your bathroom to change in." He said noting her carrying the clothes.
"Oh, it's third door on the left." He said pointing upstairs. "AJ, man we've talked about bringing girls you just met along." Brian as soon as she was gone. AJ laughed.
"No man. She is like my best friend from way back. We've known each other since we were starting grade school." He said coming into the same room that Nick, Kevin, and Howie were all sitting.
"Oh, then why haven't we ever seen her?" Brian asked.
"Because she had to move right before we all met." AJ explained.
"Before who moved?" Howie asked overhearing the conversation.
"D, you remember Donna." He told him. Howie sat there shaking his head like who? "That girl who I use to hang out all the time when I first met you. The one who was at the Latino Carnival with me." He explained.
"Oh, yeah, I remember her." He said finally realising it.
"Who are we all talking about?" Kevin asked finally coming into their conversation.
"Bone brought an old friend, who's one of our dancer's for the tour?" He asked looking over at AJ in a questionable voice.
"No, I didn't rig the choices, I stayed over to the side. She's a good dancer. She beat out like atleast 35 other girls." He said lifting his hands. He saw the guys turn their heads behind him. AJ turned around and saw Donna walk down the stairs. The shirt showed off her curves and the pants fit perfectly. AJ couldn't beleive his best friend had turned into a gorgeous girl.
"Hi, I'm Donna." She said waving as she walked up beside AJ.
"Hi. I'm Kevin."
"Nick."
"Howie, don't know if you remember me." He said realising that the little girl that was too young for him back then, was now into dating age and very beautiful.
"Yeah I do." She said smiling at a familiar face.
"Well now that we're here, ya'll ready to go?" AJ said rubbing his hands together.
"Yo rok, you sure not many people go there during the day?" Nick asked getting up.
"Man, I'm sure, I go there all the time unnoticed." He said grabbing his keys.
The guy's all picked their ride's. Donna and AJ rode in his truck, following Brian to a local bowling alley called Thunder Lanes. The parking lot was almost empty except for about three other cars. They all walked in and heard pins falling in the last alley. They all walked up to the counter to pay for a game. A guy who had been resting his head on his hand sat up.
"We'd like to get shoe's." Brian said pulling out his wallet. Everyone gave their sizes, and everyone forked their part in. AJ paid for Donna's fee and they made their way to alley 17.
"Ok, A for AJ, K for Kevin, N for Nick, H for Howie, B for Brian, and D for Donna." Brian said smiling at Donna. She sat down and slipped her size 7 1/2 shoes on.
"Dude, I might have to buy some phat shoe's like these." AJ joked showing off the green and black striped bowling shoe's. The game started with AJ bowling a three, Kevin a 7, Nick a 5, Howie a spair, Brian a 9, and Donna a strike. Everyone looked at Donna with dropped jaws. She just shrugged.
"Lucky shot." She said giggling. They bowled four games and everytime Donna won with a score up around 170. Brian and AJ battled for second, Howie third, Kevin fourth and Nick last.
"Ok, so what were you, the Maryland state champ or something?" Nick joked putting his arm on her shoulder. She laughed and said that she had a natural ability to win.
"Well, it's about time to get something to eat." Brian said as they walked out. Everyone agreed, even AJ. They made their way to a local Hardees and grabbed a bite. After everything, they all went their separate ways.
"I've got to swing by my house right quick." AJ said pulling out of the Hardees parking lot.
"Your house. Don't you mean your Mom's." She joked.
"No, I mean MY house. Not my Mom's." He said.
"You've already got your own house?" She asked shocked.
"Yep. Let me warn you, it's a bit stylish to the max." He said smiling.
She glanced over and grinned. She flipped the radio on surfing through the channels. She finally decided to stop with an old, but familiar station. They caught up on old times on the way home.
"So. How big are you guys?" Donna asked referring to the Backstreet Boys. AJ grinned and started laughing.
"You've seriously never heard of us?" He asked looking her way.
"Not that I know of. I didn't really get in the click of things during high school. I was too into my dancing and singing." She said.
"Oh you sing too?" He asked shocked.
"Well, yeah. But I was a lot more sure I'd make it in my dancing, and look at me." She said smiling. "Besides, I use to sing with you all the time when we were little." She said lightly tapping his arm.
"Well yeah, but that was like way back when." He said looking over at her and still paying attention to the road.
"Anyways, no, I haven't really heard of you. Unless I've heard your music, and didn't know it was you singing it." She said shrugging. "So, answer my question. Are you guys big?" She asked realising it hadn't been answered yet.
"Well, let's see. Our album Backstreet Boys, went triple platnum in Canada." He began. When he finished on their career line from 1993 on, she was amazed.
"Whoa." She said stairing at him. "I never even knew. I can't beleive that." She said.
"Well, look in that CD holder and see if there's an old Backstreet Boys CD in it." He said pointing on the floor to a small black CD carrier. She began flipping through the CDs and landed on the old CD. She picked up the cover and glanced through the picture's.
"Now there's AJ I remember." She said looking at his younger picture. He looked over.
"Ok, that's the US version." He said popping the CD in. Soon "We've got it goin' on" came over the speakers. She listened with a smile on her face the whole time. AJ looked over and grinned seeing her expression. He sat patting his hands on the steering wheel and singing along to the old tunes.
Whenever "Quit Playin' Games (With My Heart) came on her eyes got wide.
"Oh my God!" She exclaimed. "That was you guys?" She asked pointing at him.
"Yeah that was us." He said grinning. "And right...HERE, was me." He said as his part came up. She laughed.
"Oh my. I remember hearing this on the radio and cranking it up." She told him sitting back. "You've got an amazing voice AJ." She commented as his part ended.
"Thankyou. You've got some good moves." He said referring back to the reheasal. She listened to the rest of the cd, whenever he pulled up to a driveway.
"Here we are." He said as she looked out at the house.
"Geez." She said looking at the house. As they finally pulled in he looked over at her.
"I've got to change clothes." He said hopping out.
