"Ok, I just happen to be really missing Ike right about now" Jaymi said to herself as she watched a couple make out on t.v. The guy's were back on tour and Jaymi was missing Isaac like crazy. The Christmas dance at school was comming up and Isaac had promised to be home for it. But Jaymi knew that she couldn't really count on Isaac. She knew that at anytime something could come up that could help the band get more publicity. Not that they needed any.
"Jaymi have you done your homework?" Mrs. Bennet asked. Jaymi bit her lip.
"Kind of"
"How can you kind of do your homework?"
"Well, I started it" Jaymi replied.
"Well you can go finish it"
"Do I have to?"
"Jaymi Michelle" Mrs. Bennet said warningly. Jaymi pulled a face and got up from the couch. She knew not to argue anymore. She went upstaris and made a stop in her sisters room. She found Kayla sitting at her computer chatting with someone.
"You done your homework?" Jaymi asked.
"Hours ago. I finished before dinner" Kayla replied.
"Square" Jaymi muttered and went into her own room. For the next 2 hours Jaymi sat at her desk and completed her homework. It took a lot to actually get Jaymi to start homework but once she did, she usually wouldn't stop untill she had finished it. When she went into Kayla's room next she found her other half sitting in bed with a book. "So, have you thought anymore about what I asked you?" Jaymi asked.
"What? about a blind date for the dance?... well, forget it. I don't want people to think I'm so desperate for a date that I'll let my sister set me up with one of her boyfriend's friends" Kayla said.
"Kayla! come on! Jed is really nice! and cute to"
"Jed? what kind of name is that?" Kayla asked, laughing.
"Kayla... stop it. You would really like him" Jaymi said.
"And what if I don't? What if he turns out to be some creep?"
"He's not a creep! come on Kay... say yes... puh-lease!!" Jaymi begged. Kayla sighed.
"Ok ok" She said.
"So you'll do it?" Isaac asked Taylor.
"I don't know... actually I do know. Kayla will be there expecting some guy called Jed to take her to the dance. I show up. She ripps my head off. I die. You're minus one brother end of story... nope. Won't do it" Taylor answered. Isaac groaned.
"Taylor she wont kill you, rip your head off or anything like that! just say yes and hope for the best! you want to get back with Kayla don't you?" Isaac asked.
"Does he even have to answer that?" Zac asked. He had been sitting quietly, waiting for their que to head out onto the stage and also listening to Isaac try to convince Taylor to be Kayla's blind date for the dance.
"Zac, stay out of this!" Isaac snapped.
"Shut up! I can say what I want to say when ever I want to say it!" Zac yelled. Isaac ignored his brother.
"Well, do you want to or not?" Isaac asked Taylor.
"Want to do what?" Taylor asked. Isaac rolled his eyes.
"Get back with Kayla idiot!"
"I'm not an idiot! and of course I do! but she told me not to wait around for her...Ike she doesn't want to go back with me so why should I try?" Taylor questioned his brother. Isaac sighed. He couldn't take much more of this.
"Well, I tried." Isaac mumbled to himself.
"What?"
"Nothing. What am I meant to tell Jaymi? If I tell her you said no, she'll rip both our heads off. Come on Tay..what have you go to lose? The most she can do is slap you again and never speak to you again."
"That's what I don't want to happen!" Taylor exclaimed.
"Oh my lord! you two sound like 2 year olds! Taylor just go to the damn dance ok? Even if Kayla doesn't want to go with you there will be other single girls there!" Zac exclaimed.
"I don't want any other girls... I want Kayla!" Taylor cried. Zac threw his hands in the air.
"I give up".
"Guy's... it's time" Mr. Hanson said, walking into the room where Isaac, Taylor and Zac were waiting. The three boy's smiled and got up. They weren't about to show their Dad that they had been arguing.
"How was the concert?" Jaymi asked Isaac. The two of them were talking on the phone. It was about 2 hours after the show the boy's had just done.
"Great... the audience really got into it..." Isaac said.
"That's great.... Kayla agreed to the blind date"
"Oh really? I still gotta convince Taylor... He really wants Kayla back but she told him not to wait around for her"
"Did she? she never told me that. Keep working on Taylor ok? He'll come around sooner or later" Jaymi said.
"Yeah" Isaac agreed. "I just hope it's sooner and not later". The two of them talked for a little while longer and then Jaymi had to go because she had school the next morning. Jaymi hung up the phone and sighed. She hoped Taylor would agree to go to the dance as Kayla's blind date but it looked like it wasn't going to be as easy as they thought it would be.
