Isaac clicked off the t.v, ready to join Jaymi, who was asleep in bed, when he heard the doorbell. He checked his watch. It was 11:35pm. "What the?" He asked himself as he went to answer the door. He was surprised to see Zac and Jessica standing on his doorstep. "What are you guy's doing here?" He asked as he let them in.
"Long story" Zac replied.
"Is Jaymi up?" Jessica asked, looking up at Isaac. Isaac shook his head.
"No.. she went to bed about an hour ago. She wouldn't still be up" He said.
"Yes I am" Jaymi replied sleepily as she walked down the hall towards them. The four of them went into the kitchen and Jaymi put on the kettle.
"Jaymi... I n-need to talk t-to y-you" Jessica said, before breaking down in tears. Jaymi looked in surprise at Jessica but wordlessly took her by the shoulders and lead her to the living room. The boy's watched them and then Isaac turned to Zac.
"What's going on?" He demanded.
"Jess was nearly raped tonight" Zac said bluntly.
"WHAT?!?!". Zac told him the story. "Oh my god. That guy is dead. I mean it. He's dead" Isaac fummed.
"And th-then he... he told me that I- I was gonna get it wether I wanted it or.. or n-not" Jessica choked out. Jaymi reached over and wrapped her arm's around Jessica's trembling shoulders. Jaymi was feeling the pain that Jessica felt right now, and tears were falling from her eye's as well as Jessica's.
"Oh Jess, I'm sorry... how did you get away?" Jaymi asked her.
"I- I hit him... I think" Jessica replied.
"You can't remember how you got away?" Jaymi asked. Jessica shook her head.
"All I could think of was that I had seen a group of teenagers in the park across the street earlier and I was hoping that they were still there... I'm so glad Zac was there" Jessica said, wiping her eye's.
"Zac was there with his friends"
"Yeah... When I came out of the house he stood up, I don't think he knew it was me untill I hugged him"
"What did Zac do after he saw it was you?" Jaymi asked, afraid of what she would hear.
"He went over to Jon's house, but Jon had locked all the doors so Zac couldn't get in." Jessica told her. Jaymi sighed.
"Come on, we'll go call your parents."
"No! I don't want Mom and Dad to know about this! They thought I was over at Carly's!" Jessica cried. Once again, Jaymi sighed.
"Well, why don't you call them and just say that you're gonna spend the night here ok?" Jaymi asked. Jessica nodded and the two of them walked into the kitchen. Isaac and Zac looked up at them and Jessica felt her face going red.
"Ike.. can I stay here tonight?" Jessica asked quietly.
"Uh I don't-" Isaac stopped himself when he saw the look Jaymi was giving him. He then nodded. "Yeah, sure" He said. Jessica gave him a small smile.
"Thanks... can I sleep with Jaymi?". Even Jaymi wasn't expecting that one.
"Sure Jess" She said. Isaac then looked very put out about giving up his bed but he soon realized that it would be better for his little sister. "Ike, honey, you can call your parents and let them know that Jess is here. But don't tell them what happened ok?... hang on. Don't worry about it. I'll call them" Jaymi said, not really trusting Isaac not to open his mouth and spill everything. And besides that, Jaymi had learned that Isaac was a terrible liar.
"Kay?" Taylor yelled out as he opened the door to the caravan. He then saw that Kayla wasn't home. He saw that the caravan was just a little untidy so he quickly cleaned it up. He then sat down on the bed and waited for Kayla to get home. They had made up from ther fight but Taylor was still on rocky grounds with his girlfriend. After about an hour, Kayla still wasn't home. And Taylor knew that she would have gotten off of work by now. He got up and then started pacing. He then grabbed his key's and then walked out of the caravan. Soon he was at the mall and then walked into the store where Kayla worked.
"Taylor! what are you doing here?" Kayla asked him once she spotted him.
"I can ask you the same thing" Taylor replied.
"What do you mean?. I'm working" Kayla said as she changed a price on a dress and then put it onto a sale rack. "Didn't I tell you I was gonna do some overtime? We need the money and Sharon said I could do her shift" Kayla said. Taylor frowned.
"No, you didn't tell me... anyway, you don't need to do overtime any more" Taylor told her. Kayla looked up at Taylor.
"You mean?"
"Yep... I've got a job... I decided to take the job at Printan Publishing" Taylor said.
"Taylor! That's great!" Kayla cried, flinging her arms around him. "When do you start?"
"On Monday" Taylor said. Kayla grinned at him and Taylor noticed that Kayla was extremely happy that he had taken the job. "I'll let you get back to work... what time are you gonna finish?"
"In about fifteen minutes... wait for me and then we can go out or something to celebrate" Kayla said. She gave Taylor a quick kiss and then walked away from him.
