"I really like Ebony.." Jaymi said. Isaac made a face.
"I don't know if I want our kid to be named after a colour" He said. "Besides, what if it's a boy?"
"Nope... this here is a girl..." Jaymi replied. Isaac laughed.
"Well, how bout Jane?"
"And have her called Plain Jane? I don't think so"
"Why don't we choose out some boy's names..." Isaac said. "Just in case"
"Sam?" Jaymi suggested. Isaac shook his head.
"Mom hates the name Sam... don't ask me why... she just has a thing against it" He said.
"Ok then... you got any better idea's?... how bout Isaac junior?" Jaymi asked.
"I'm not sure I want a namesake... I'd kill Mom if she had named me after Dad"
"What's wrong with Walker?" Jaymi asked, laughing. Suddenly she stopped. "Ike... I just thought of the perfect name for if the baby's a girl" She said excitedly. "What about Casey?" She suggested. Isaac knew where she got the name from.
"It's perfect... Casey... you don't want to name it C.J?" Isaac asked. Jaymi shook her head.
"No... not C.J. but just the first part of her name. Casey."
"I think we've got ourselves a winner babe" Isaac said, pulling Jaymi close to kiss her.
"Jess, I'm not sure you're gonna like what I have to tell you about Jon" Carly started. The two of them were sitting in Carlys room.
"What?" Jessica asked, eyeing Carly.
"Well, some girls at school heard about you dating him and they told me some things about him"
"What things?" Jessica demanded.
"He tried to rape a girl earlier this year Jess... the girls told me that he can't keep his hands off of a girl and if she refuses to sleep with him then he either rapes or tries to rape her"
"Who told you this? that is a load of crap!" Jessica burst out angrily. "Jon's never tried anything with me! he told me that he has to much respect for me" She lied. Jon had in fact tried some things that Jessica didn't like. But she wasn't about to tell Carly this.
"Well if he told you that then he's lying! Jess, I'm only looking out for you... I don't want to see you get hurt. He just uses girls. I talked to a girl called Beth.. she dated him a few time's... he raped her on their third date! And she only told me this because she doesn't want him to do the same to you" Carly cried. Jessica shook her head, refusing to listen.
"He wouldn't do that! Not Jon." Jessica said.
"Jessica! listen to me! he's not fourteen either" Carly said.
"What?"
"He's sixteen... he lied to you about his age"
"He never told me his age... I just heard that he was fourteen" Jessica said quietly.
"Well he's sixteen. Please Jess, keep away from him... even if you don't do that, don't be anywhere alone with him" Carly pleaded. Jessica groaned.
"He wont do anything to me! now just drop it. I don't want to hear another bad thing about Jon. I mean it Carly. Not another thing!" Jessica told her friend.
"What are you doing tonight?" Amy asked Zac.
"I'm just gonna be hanging out with some friends.. why? you wanna come?" Zac asked. Amy shook her head.
"No thanks... you'll all just be smoking and drinking and you know that's not one of my favourite past times" Amy said.
"Hang on a minute... didn't I say I was gonna give up?" He asked. Amy nodded. "Well, I have, I mean I sort of have. I'm only smoking cigarettes" Zac said.
"So you've given up marijuana?" Amy asked. Zac nodded.
"Threw away my pipe today" He announced. Zac had been spending a lot of time with Amy. He found that Amy knew how to have fun being sober and straight, instead of being drunk and off his face. The two of them talked about C.J a lot, and Zac found that it wasn't as painful to think about her anymore.
"That's great.. you know, you don't have to do this... I'm not forcing you" Amy reminded him for the hundredth time.
"I know. But I need to do this. I wasted like two years of my life getting high and drunk." Zac said. "It's a good thing that I met you" He said, looking at Amy and smiling. Amy smiled back. Zac found himself wondering what it would be like to kiss Amy. But he knew that he wouldn't kiss her. It would be a long time before he could kiss another girl after C.J. "So, you gonna come tonight?" He asked. Amy shook her head.
"I don't think so Zac... would I be the only girl there?"
"Nope. Jay's new girlfriend Tanya is gonna be there to" Zac replied. Amy thought for a bit. Then finally nodded.
"Yeah, ok. What will you be doing?" She asked. Zac grinned.
"Just hanging out... you'll just have to let your mom know that you might be home kinda late... or you could just stay the night at Tanya's. Her Mom's real cool, she'll let you." Zac said. Amy shrugged.
"I'll decide tonight and then I'll call Mom and let her know" She said. Amy got up from her seat and then pulled Zac up. "Come on, we gotta go let my Mom know now... before she makes any other plans that concern me" She said. The two of them started for Amy's house.
"Zac, I want you to baby sit your sisters and brother tonight, so don't make any plans." Mrs. Hanson said to her son as he entered the kitchen.
"To late, and I'm not breaking them so don't ask!" He said, grabbing an apple from the refrigerator.
"Well, I'm sorry Zac, but your going to have to."
"I already told you! I'm not breaking my plans, why can't Tay or Ike do it?" Zac snapped.
"They have their own lives Zac, and while you are living under this roof you will do as I ask!" Mrs Hanson said firmly, hands on her hips. Zac rolled his eyes.
"So I take it I don't have a life of my own? Fine.. I'll move out!" He yelled and walked out the back door, slamming it behind him. Ever since C.J's death, Zac's attitude towards his parents had changed. He talked back, never helped around the house and fought with his parents. The change had come almost over night. He would stay out at day's at a time, only calling his parents to tell them he wouldn't be home for another night without a reason. When Mr and Mrs Hanson would see Zac, every time it ended up in a fight with Mrs Hanson in tears and Zac storming out the door, not to be seen for another few days.
