"Jessie! look... there he is" Carly hissed to her friend. Jessica looked turned around and saw... him. Jon Winters, the boy that all the sixth and seventh grade girls lusted after. "Do you think he's gonna see the same movie as us?" Carly asked excitedly.
"Get real Carly. We're gonna go see a love story... he's probably gonna go see that new horror one." Jessica told her. The two girls watched as Jon walked up to the ticket booth. "Ok, now I know how other girls felt when they saw my brothers" Jessica whispered to Carly. Jon was very cute, with brown hair that came down to his chin, green eyes and a great body. He turned away from the ticket booth and faced Jessica and Carly. His face lit up in a smile and he waved the two girls over.
"Hi Jess, didn't expect to see you here!" He said. Jessica smiled and tossed her long blond hair over her shoulder.
"Like wise! what movie are you seeing?" She asked him.
"That new horror one, I heard some guy gets his head cut off and you see it roll along the ground!" Jon said, sounding very excited about the movie.
"Really? Cool... Carly and I were going to see that one.. weren't we?" Jessica asked, turning to her friend.
"What? Jessica no we weren't!" Carly started to protest.
"Shut up!" Jessica muttered to her. Carly rolled her eyes.
"Look Jess, I just remembered.. I have some stuff to do at home.. I'll see you around" And with that, Carly turned her back and walked out, leaving an open mouthed Jessica staring after her.
"I can't believe she just ditched me like that!" Jessica exclaimed. Jon smiled.
"Oh well, I guess it's just you and me.." He said and put his arm around Jessica's shoulders. Jessica brought the movie ticket and the two of them found seats. Jon kept his arm around Jessica and they settled back to watch the movie. Before she knew it, Jon was kissing her and she kissed him back. He opened his mouth and ran his tongue along her lips. Jessica responded by opening her mouth. Their tongues found each other and they explored each others mouths. The hand that wasn't around her shoulder squeezed her thigh and she tensed up. "Hey, it's ok.. relax!" Jon whispered and began to kiss her again. His hand travelled up from her thigh to under her shirt. Jessica pulled away and pushed his hand down. Jon looked at her, confused. "What's up?"
"Uh... noth.. nothing..." She stammered and smiled at him. "Good movie huh?" She asked, trying to convert his attention. He nodded and sat back, getting Jessica's message. Jessica could still feel Jon's lips on hers. She was over the moon. Jon Winters had kissed her! So many girls would kill to be where Jessica was at that very moment.
"Thanks.. come again" Kayla said as a customer walked away. She sighed and turned to Amanda. "Do you find that boring?" She asked.
"Find what boring?"
"Saying, Thanks.. come again to every customer... just once I'd like to tell a customer just to piss off and never turn up again." Kayla said. Amanda laughed.
"That would be refreshing wouldn't it?. Hey, is that Zac over there?" Amanda asked, pointing.
"Yeah, I think it is... wonder what he's doing here" Kayla said. She walked over to him. "Hi... want any help?" She asked. Zac jumped and looked startled for a minute. He then turned to face her.
"Uh, yeah... you know what a girl would like in here?" He asked.
"Umm, lot's of stuff.... why?"
"Well, there's this girl that I've been hanging around and her birthday's comin up so I thought I'd get her a present" Zac said quietly. Kayla smiled.
"Really? what's her name? where'd you meet her?" She asked.
"Her name's Amy and I met her at a party a few weeks ago... Kay... she knows uh- knew C.J" Zac said. Kayla looked at Zac.
"She did? from where? school?" Zac nodded "Wow..." Kayla had a stunned look on her face. She then looked up at Zac and smiled. "So, got anything in mind?". Zac shrugged.
"Not really.. she likes the colour green, I know that.." He told her. Kayla smiled. She thought it was great that Zac was starting to take interest in a girl again. He had been alone since C.J's death and it was starting to worry alot of people who loved him.
"Well, that helps a bit.. come on, lets see what we can find.". An hour later, Kayla said goodbye to another satisfied customer.
Kayla unlocked the door to the caravan and stepped in. A groan escaped her lips.
"God damn you Taylor!" She exclaimed. The caravan was a total mess. Clothes were all over the bed and chairs and dirty dishes filled the sink and were scattered over the table. Two hours later, Kayla had managed to clean it up. The door opened just as she collapsed on the bed.
"Hey babe... you read my mind!" Taylor said and grinned. Kayla sat up and glared at her boyfriend.
"I'm getting sick of this!" She snapped. Taylor's grin faded.
"Sick of what?". Kayla rolled her eyes.
"Of getting home and finding this place a fucking mess!" She yelled. "Day after day I come home only to have to do more bloody work! I'm sick of it Tay! Get off your lazy fat ass and get a job!"
"I don't want to be offered a job! I want to find one myself!"
"How do you expect to get our own place? We both have to be working to survive! My job doesn't pay enough for us to both live off!"
"I know that! Fucking hell Kayla, get off my case about it ok? I'm trying!" Taylor yelled. Kayla sank back onto the bed, shaking her head.
"Taylor, I know you're trying, and I'm glad you are.. it's just we can't live in your parents backyard forever. If only you took that job, we could be out of here in a few months!" She said, her voice softer. Taylor sighed and sat down next to Kayla on the bed. he put his arm around her shoulder and squeezed it.
"I know.. I know." Was all he said.
