"Hey C.J... what can I do for you?" Jaymi asked as she opened the front door to Isaac's house. C.J stepped inside and Jaymi closed the door. "Geez that sounds really corny doesn't it?"
"Yep.... Hey C.J would have been just fine." C.J laughed. The girls went into the kitchen and Jaymi started to make them coffee. "Coffee make's me go hyper..." C.J said. Jaymi laughed.
"It does the same to me" She said.
"When's the baby due?"
"May... oh, that reminds me... um, I have something to ask you" Jaymi said, sitting down across from C.J.
"Go for it" She said.
"Well, Isaac and I were discussing baby names and I came up with Casey... after you... is that ok?"
"Ok?.. Jaymi... that's great! you're giving your baby like half of my name... of course it's ok!" C.J exclaimed, hugging Jaymi. Jaymi got up to make them both coffee and C.J then noticed what Jaymi was wearing. "Geez you look charming" She laughed. Jaymi had on a pair of Isaac's black Adidas tracksuit pants (which were a little to long for her), a large dark green T-shirt that came half-way down her thighs and on her feet were a pair of white socks. Her hair was back in a high pony-tail. Jaymi looked down at herself and laughed.
"Who cares... this outfit belongs to Ike... apart from the socks" She said, holding out a leg as she wiggled her toes. C.J shook her head and laughed as she accepted the cup of steaming coffee that Jaymi handed to her.
"Well, now it's my turn to ask you something" C.J said as Jaymi sat down again. Jaymi nodded.
"Ask me anything" She said. C.J took a deep breath and then let it out slowly.
"I'm thinking about sleeping with Zac.." She started. "I just need to know how to tell him that"
"Coldan! what the hell did you do that for?" Jessica yelled as she leapt away from Coldan. Coldan sat there with a stunned expression on his face.
"What's the problem? Jess, I kissed you... what's wrong with that?" He cried. Jessica shook her head and glared at him.
"Everything! I never said you could kiss me did I?" Jessica yelled
"Well I never thought I had to ask permission to kiss the girl I like" Coldan yelled back. The two of them were sitting in Coldan's living room and Jessica had been explaining a Math problem to him when he had leant over and kissed her. The two of them had become very good friends and this time, Jessica even had Carly's aproval, which meant a lot to her considering Carly was Jessica's best friend. Jessica slumped down in an arm chair and was silent. The two of them sat in an uncomfertable silence untill Coldan's mother walked into the room.
"What's going on in here?" She asked. Jessica stood up and started to gather her books.
"Nothing Mrs. Edmonds... I was just leaving.. I remembered that I'm going out for dinner tonight" She said.
"I thought you were staying here for dinner Jess"
"I'm sorry Mrs. Edmonds.... but I really can't cancel... my parents would kill me" Jessica said. Mrs. Edmonds nodded and then saw Jessica out. Jessica noticed that Coldan hadn't even bothered to say goodbye. "Jerk" she muttered to herself. She had lied about dinner. Her mother was expecting her to be at Coldan's. She walked inside and slammed the front door. "ANYBODY HOME?" she yelled out into the quiet house.
"YES! ME!" came a voice from the kitchen. She walked in and found Taylor cooking something.
"You're cooking?" She asked as she walked to the refridgerator and pulled open the door. She inspected the contents and then grabbed a bottle of water.
"Yes I am, I thought you were gonna be at Coldan's for dinner" Taylor said as he stirred something in the pot that was on the stove.
"Change in plans... look's like you're stuck with getting me dinner..." Jessica said, smirking at her older brother. Taylor shook his head.
"No way. You're thirteen Jess... you know how to cook... make your own. Just cause Mom's not gonna be home doesn't mean you have to starve" Taylor said.
"Yeah it does. I hate cooking. You're five years older than me Tay... you gotta look out for me" Jessica said, sucking up.
"I do look out for you. Look what me, Ike and Zac did to that Jon guy" Taylor said. The three of them had cornered Jon and then bashed the crap out of him.
"Yeah... you didn't have to give him five broken ribs Taylor" Jessica said.
"Hey, how were we to know that his dad was a god damn cop?" Taylor asked. Jessica sighed and shook her head.
"You're gonna make me dinner tonight Tay... or I'll tell mom that you deliberately starved me"
"Yeah right Jess... do me a favour... grow up" Taylor said.
"You are such a jerk!" Jessica exclaimed as she walked out from the kitchen.
"Wow, C.J... where did this come from?" Jaymi asked, stunned by C.J's statement. C.J shrugged.
"I love Zac and he loves me... it just feel's like the right time.... it's not as if I'm a virgin or anything.." C.J started. "My brother took care of that for me didn't he?" She asked bitterly. Jaymi knew it was a question that didn't have to be answered. The two girls sat in silence for a long time.
"Do you think Zac's a virgin?" Jaymi asked. C.J shrugged.
"He told me that he was... but I don't know.... he's been to a lot of parties and he's gotten drunk and off his face... who know's what he could have done"
"You know about that?" Jaymi asked quietly. C.J nodded.
"The day I saw him at the mall... I saw a pack of cigarettes fall from his pocket... and yesterday I asked him about it and he told me everything... well, not everything but enough" She said.
"I remember I was so angry at him the first time I caught him smoking in his tree house. Diane sent me out to get him for dinner and I saw him... he made me promise I wouldn't tell anyone but Taylor found the pack of cigarettes in a draw... so that was the end of Zac's secret. Walker and Diane don't officially know, but I think they would've guessed by now"
"Mm... Jaymi... I really need help here... how do I tell him? How did you tell Ike?" C.J asked.
"Well, we were fighting, about my cousin Alexis... god she's a bitch.. anyway, it was a few weeks after my kidnapping and Isaac came over one night and we went for a drive and he apologized for what he said-"
"What did he say?"
"That maybe Alexis would sleep with him because I wouldn't" Jaymi said. C.J's mouth dropped open.
"What a pig!" She exclaimed. Jaymi laughed
"Watch it! that's the father of my baby you're talkin bout!"
"Sorry... so, what happened.... I can't believe you never told me this!"
"Well, we were in some parking lot of some abandoned wearhouse or some place like that and we were talking about it and I told him that I wanted to lose my virginity to him... so we did it" Jaymi said. C.J chewed on her lip.
"So you think I should just come right out and tell him?"
"It would probably be the best way... but C.J, can't you wait untill you're at least sixteen? I mean, you only have about two weeks or so" Jaymi pleaded. C.J nodded.
"I wasn't going to run over to Zac's and jump on him right away... I have to figure out when, where and how I'm going to do it" She said.
"Well, just don't do it in some parking lot... that's not the most romantic way for your first time with Zac" Jaymi told her.
