>> The Boys were in NYC filming a Disney special in May and one of the days they decided to split up in the morning and then meet in the afternoon to go bowling. Brian and Nick joined up a couple of other people and played two-on-two, Brian scoring the winning basket and proving his name B-Rok. Howie and AJ checked out the malls and latest fashions while Kevin spent the morning horseback riding. Later, at the bowling alley, they had fun goofing off (as normal) and bowling.

>> The Backstreet Boys are set to appear on ABC's 'Who Want's To be A Millionaire.' The proceeds will go to their eco charity, Just Within Reach: An Earth Foundation, set up by Kevin Richardson.

Kevin said: "I thought I'd use my status as a celebrity to ask more questions and change things."

The Backstreet Boys will soon be on an all-music edition of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" Nick Carter and Howie Dorough will be in the hot seat, while the rest of the Boys might just show up as a lifeline! All winnings will be donated to the Boys charities, including the Dorough Lupus Foundation.

>> Why the Boys should not make political statements (OK, so I'm tired of famous people acting like their opinions are the only important ones): "I just think we are a little bit of an arrogant nation and maybe this is a little bit of a humbling experience what has our government done to provoke this action, that we don't know about?"
Kevin Richardson was quoted as saying this stuff, but he has apologized for what he said:
"I'd like to thank you all for the love and support you've shown Danny Lee and our fellow Americans who suffered a devastating tragedy in the last week. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone and we hope you are all safe and well.
"Firstly, I would like to apologize if my comments offended anyone. It was a hard time for everyone and I let my emotions get the better of me at that moment. My thoughts were incomplete and I didn't intend for them to come across as insensitive. I know how far-reaching this event is and almost all of us know someone who was directly affected by these disasters. Nobody -- nobody -- will walk away from this experience unchanged.
"When I said that I think our nation is a bit arrogant, what I meant is that as a world Super Power, I think we've become overconfident and taken our opportunities and freedom for granted. I feel like we’ve taken on the attitude that we, as a country, are untouchable. How did we get that way?…"
Except my first reaction was "bad kevin", but i guess he is trying to make up for it...i dont konw waht to really think, i just never go at it that way...

>> Backstreet crew member Daniel John Lee died on teh plane from Boston to LA that crashed into the WTC. It is a very sad story surrounding his death. And Leighanne came VERY close to boarding that flight as well, but her want to stay with Brian a little longer literally saved her life... :*( so much innocent lives lost or affected by this!

>> This honestly was not the number one concern on my list of things to confirm after the tragedies 2day, but it has been confirmed by Jive Associates that all 5 Backstreet Boys are safe in Canada. Nick, AJ, and Howie were in Canada when it happened and Brian and Kevin crossed into Canada shortly after. Aaron Carter is safe, very much shocked and affected, but the Carters are safe. (confirmed by Steve Spaulding) Even though they are safe, there are still ppl who need your prayers for this tragedy.

>> Brian and Leighanne have founded a company for music, TV, and movies called BriLeigh, from which the soundtrack for Olive Juice is being released on October 23, featuring a song by Backstreet Boys and a duet by Brian and some random other dude whose name i cant remember (Oops!)

>> Update on AJ's progress in rehab: he is coming along REAL well, but his therapist has suggested an extra 2 weeks after Aug 7 for trasitional therapy and so the tour will re-resume on Aug 24th (I see them on the 25th).

"Around The World", a 90-minute documentary-style film which follows the Backstreet Boys on their 100 hour promotional tour will be released this spring. The video includes extensive coverage of media events on the ground in each city, exclusive footage of the Boys on their charted 757 jet, and even includes shots of the guys flying the plane! Look for interviews and behind-the-scenes action all set to a non-stop bed of Backstreet Boys music from "Black & Blue" and their previous two releases. As an added bonus, "Around The World" will include a live video of "Shape Of My Heart," which combines five live performances from around the world into one never-before-seen exclusive video.

• Jane and Robert have been separated, as all know, and there is a lot of legal stuff going on with that. First is the allegations of Robert beating Jane, I haven't read up much on that. But most recently are the accusations that Jane broke into Robert's home and proceeded to assult his girlfriend.
• Aaron was reported to be seeking a "divorce" from Jane because he accused her of taking money from his account, **BUT** has recently reconciled the dispute, and is allowing Jane to continue as manager and mom.
• Not really in teh News, but yeah...Nick is now dating Paris Hilton *coughskankcough*. I say no more beacuse I risk offending those who may be fans of hers (unlike myself...)
