On April 20th, 1999 at Columbine High School in Littleton CO, we watched in horror as innocent lives were senselessly and violently silenced forever. That day will forever be etched in the minds of people all over the world.
Those sweet voices will never be heard again on this earth, their memory and spirit will live on in those who loved and knew them...and a Nation who, hopefully, will never forget how precious and fragile human life is.
We must remember those who lost their lives, and the people who loved them so dearly. We must pass laws that will make it impossible for children to have access to guns. If it comes to putting a ban on guns all together, then so be it. I as an American believe in the freedom to bare arms, but at what cost?? Too many innocent people have died, and it is time STOP THE MADNESS!!!!
I don't have children, and probably never will. But what I saw unfold before me as I watched those children run from their school in terror, made me cry. What will it take to make our schools in America safe for our children? Isn't school suppose to be a place of learning? Isn't school suppose to be a safe enviroment? Why did those children die such a horrible death? Why???
Hasn't there been enough innocent lives taken from us?? Will the killing stop?? When?? We must put an end to this now, before another innocent drop of blood is spilt in our school systems across this country.
This is an important issue. It shouldn't be an issue at all, but it isn't!!!
Please, and I am begging you... please if you have children, and own a gun.... please, make sure they will never be touched by your child. It kills me inside to see the pain and suffering caused by careless parents who can't put the guns in their proper place.... AWAY FROM CHILDREN!!!! Please take some time tonight and teach your children about guns and gun saftey!!! Maybe together we can put an end to the senseless killings. Thanks!!! 8-)
