“Do you think I should talk to him?” Kevin asked Jess
“I dunno, I mean someone should ask him what he plans on doing, cuz if he learns the hard way, hes not only hurting himself, but hes gonna hurt Amanda.”
“Ok, stay here I’m gonna go talk to him”
“ok” Jess replied hugging Kevin so tight, then kissing him. Kevin walked right up to Nick and Amanda
“hey Nick can we talk”, Nick paid no attention “Nick!” still no respsonse “yo Nick! can we talk” finally Nick snapped out of it as Kevin laughed, “Nick can we talk for a sec?”
“Kev, cant it wait?” Nick asked looking at Amanda
“no its ok, go ahead Nick” Amanda said
“you sure?” Nick asked
“yeah go ahead” with that he kissed her and walked by the back corner with Kevin as Amanda went to go talk to Jessica.
“hey”
“hey Amanda”
“so...do you have any idea what Kevin needs to talk to Nick about?” she asked smiling
“no, sorry” Jessica said, even though she knew exactly what Kevin and Nick were going to talk about.
“so how long have you and Kevin been dating?”
“almost 1 year” Jess replied with a smile
“wow, it must be hard since hes always on the road” Jessica really didn’t want to talk about the subject, but she felt she should talk to Amanda, woman to woman
“Well, it is!! very hard!! Me and Kevin were really good friends before we started dating, we didnt get involved at first because we knew it would be hard with him on the road all the time, we took the time to anaylze what we had first”
“oh” Amanda said almost confused, she knew what Jessica ment, but just he way she said it kinda tipped her off.
“Listen Nick, I just want to let you know, the only reason I’m doing this is cuz I’m trying to look out for you, and I dont want anyone to get hurt....We’re leaving tomorrow, and I just wanted to know if you thought about what you are going to do about Amanda?”
“damn Kev, I know, but I don’t know what I should do”
“well, just follow your heart, it should always give you the right answer, and at first it might not seem like it but in the end it always is.”
“alright” nick said, but his face showed he was disappointed.
“so what are you gonna do?” Kevin asked
“I’m just gonna follow my heart, no matter what” Nick replied wiht a frown Kevin gave him a pat on the back,
“it’s gonna be alright, I promise”
“thanks Kev” Kevin and Nick started walking towads Amanda and Jessica, who seem to have been having a good time. The two of them really clicked, but when Jessica saw Kevin and Nick walk over, and both of the faces not too happy, Jessica immediatley stopped laughing, and started to frown. She didn’t want her new friend to be hurt, but having a relationship on the road, is hard, so either way Amanda was going to lose.
“Amanda, can we talk?”
“Yeah, sure Nick...Jess it was nice chattin, I’ll talk to you later” Amanda said cheerfully. Jessica reached over and hugged her, preparing her for the worst. Amanda just hugged back. As Nick and Amanda were walking away Jessica felt horrible, she felt maybe she should have said something to Amanda to prepare her, but nothing could prepare her for what Nick was about to tell her. Jessica hugged Kevin, then burrying her face in his chest, she had tears in her eyes, she remembered the first time her and Kevin decided they were going to start a relationship, Jessica had loved Kevin for years before that, but couldn’t tell him, because she thought it would never work. Kevin just looked at her then kissing her.
“So what he is doing?”
“Well he said...he’s going to follow his heart”
“well do we know what his heart is telling him?”
“I really can’t be sure, but if I were to tell by his expression” he just shook his head, Jessica burried herself back in his chest as Kevin pulled her closer.
