“Ms. Pirolo, are you ready to go?” He asked
“yeah” she said softly. The two walked to Billy’s bus, where he drove her back to the hotel, the ride back was pretty silent until Billy turned on the radio. At first it was just some sad love songs, but then a familiar voice came on, it was Nick and the rest of the BSB. Amanda’s eyes started to build up with tears, Billy looked over at her and asked if he should turn it off, Amanda just replied with a simple no.
As Amanda was driving home, she noticed her pager had been going off, it was Kim. She picked up her cell phone and dialed Kims number, Kim picked up the phone
“Hey hun” Amanda said
“Amanda? where the hell have you been all night?”
“Listen I should be home in about 15 mintues, I’ll give you the scoop when I get there k?”
“um yeah I guess I’ll talk to you in a few minutes.”
“ok, I’ll talk to you later, Bye” Amanda hung up the phone. When Amanda arrived at Kim’s house, Kim had been waiting on the front stoop, just sitting there eager to find out what happened.
“So???” Kim asked once Amanda parked into the driveway. Amanda just laughed
“So..what?” Amanda said playing dumb
“Come on, what happened!!”
“oh you mean with Nick?” Amanda laughed
“Who else?”
Amanda starting telling Kim the whole story, everything!! She didn’t leave out one detail. About half way through the story Amanda was thinking that maybe she should stop, since Kim did love Nick.
“Do you want me to stop?” She asked
“no why?”
“I just wanted to make sure you weren’t annoyed about me and Nick”
“don’t worry about it, keep going, your getting to the good part” Kim smiled, Amanda was relieved that her friend was so cool about this, the whole ride home Amanda was trying to decide what she was going to tell Kim.
“So thats the whole story” Amanda said concluding with all her details
“wow, who would have thought huh?”
“I know! but Kim, I really like him”
“Do you love him?” Amanda didn’t asnwer. She was actually afraid to say I Love You, thats why she didn’t say it to Nick before he left. Everyone she’s always loved, shes lost. Her whole family was gone, and she was afriad to love anyone again. She knew she was in love, but she didn’t want to say, she didn’t say it because of fear
“Amanda? do you?”
“Kim..I dunno, I feel like I am, but augh, Kim I can’t say I love you to him”
“cuz you dont?”
“no, cuz I’m afraid”
“afraid? thats he not gonna say it back? you know he is, he told you he loved you!”
“no, afraid cuz everyone I’ve ever loved, I’ve lost, I told my family all the time I loved them, and they’re gone”
“Aw, Amanda, but think of it this way, if you don’t say I love you, and god forbid you do lose him, he’ll never know how you feel” Amanda thought about what Kim just said.
“you right, so should I tell him?”
“if you feel it, do it, but if you don’t fell it then don’t feel obligated to say it because he told you he did....” she paused “Amanda, love is like a ghost, many people speak of it, but not many see it, if your one of the lucky ones to have seen love, you have to tell him”. Amanda hugged her friend, she was right, she knew she had to tell Nick, but she’s never told anyone that she loved them since her family’s death. Amanda tried to quickly change the subejct
“So how’s AJ?”
“oh...we deiceded to be friends, close friends”
“oh, im so sorry! what happened?” Amanda said kinda startled, she was so surpsied, she really thought Kim and AJ hit it off
“nothing, its just that..I dunno, we both decided to stay close friends and maybe at another time, try to have a relationship”
“oh, are you ok with that?”
“well I better be, its mainly my fault”
“what?”
“yeah, I told AJ that we should be just friends, cuz at the time, I was really jealous of you and Nick and he noticed, so I told him I needed some time, so he’s giving it to me” Amanda hugged her, she felt horrible.
“can I ask you two things?” Amanda asked
“sure”
“first, are you still mad at me about Nick?”
“I’m not mad at you, and I really never was mad at you, but I was jealous, and upset, but not anymore, cuz I realized that you two really like each other, and I’m happy for you, dont worry!”
“Ok, good, and also....do you like AJ more than a friend?”
“I really dont know”
