“NICK!!”
“hey, whatcha doin?”
“nothing, I got your letters, I miss you so much!”
“I miss you too, I got your letters too, well I’m calling to see if you wanted to come see me?”
“of course when? where?”
“well Rome...and in 3 days?”
“3 days? I don’t have a ticket, and..”
“Its in the mail, so please tell me you’ll come” he interrupted
“of course I will”
“oh I sent 2”
“2?”
“yeah, one for Kim... Amanda, AJ really misses her, he understands why they became just friends, but he wishes he would take it back, Amanda please beg her to come”
“Aw, tell AJ it will be alright, I’ll make her come with me, I’m not exactly sure how Kim is with the whole situation but she seemed pretty upset when I was talking to her about it”
“alright so you’ll get her to come for AJ?”
“of corse”
“your the greatest”. Amanda just laughed
“Nick, lets go, we’re going” A voice yelled in the background
“ok” he yelled back “ok sweetie, i really gotta go, but I miss you so much, and can’t wait to see you"
“me either, I’ll talk to you later”
“I love you”
“Bye sweetie” Amanda replied
“bye” Nick said somewhat dissapointed. Both hung up the phone disappointed at Amanda’s answer.
“AUGH!!! Why didn’t I say it??? whats wrong with me?? I have to say it!!!!!!!” Amanda yelled
The next day Kim was over, and Amanda wanted to bring up the subject of going to Rome.
“so Kim, what are you doing for the next few weeks?”
“nothing, as usual why?”
“cuz I wanted to know if you would...” she was interrupted by a knock at her door. “augh hold that thought, I’ll be right back” Amanda said running to the door.
“hi, delivery for Amanda Pirolo”
“yes, thats me”
“please sign here” the delivery man asked. “Here ya go, thank you”
“thank you!” Amanda answered. Amanda shut the door, and opened the package, it was the plane tickets and a stuffed bear from Nick with a rose.
“Amanda who’s there?” Kim yelled
“uh it was just ah...nothing” Amanda walked back into the room
“ok listen, I just got these two tickets from Nick to go to Rome in 3 days for a week, so please tell me you’ll come with me”
“yeah I’d love too, but..what about AJ?”
“great! Kim you two are good friends remember? no need to be scared”
“I’m not scared..I’m nervous” Amanda just smiled
“dont be nervous, he’s really anxious to see you”
“really?” Kim’s eyes widened
“yup, Nick told me on the phone yesterday”
“really?”
“yup, so you gonna come?”
“of course”
“good, well then we better get clothes!!” Kim smiled “well lets go!!” The both got up and ran towards Amanda’s car. As they were listening to the radio, Kim flipped through the stations trying to find a BSB song, but what she found was an interview they did from 2 days ago.
“So were back with Nick, Brian, AJ, Kevin and Howie”
“Hey” the boys said in unison
“so, before we left we were talking about the sticky subject...girlfriends”the DJ laughed
“oh man, here it comes” Howie laughed
“So who wants to spill it first?” the DJ
“alright I’ll go first” Brian started “sorry girls, but..ahh I got a girlfriend” He said
“ok, Who’s next?” the DJ asked
“this is horrible, I can’t believe that the DJ wont let it go” Kim said
“yeah i know” Amanda said waiting for Nicks answer
“ok, well I’m currently seeing someone who I’ve been friend with for a long time” Howie said
“aw, I guess Howie and Karen hooked up after all” Amanda said
“yeah guess so” Kim replied
“well, I have a girlfriend also, who I am very much in love with, love ya sweetie” Nick said as a huge smile came upon Amandas face.
“awwww how cute is he?” Kim said nudging Amanda’s arm with her elbow
“aw, he really is” Amanda said still smiling
“Im also dating” Kevin admitted
“So far 4 out of 5 of the Backstreet Boys are taken...AJ?” the DJ asked
“well, I’m not seeing anyone right now, but I have my eye on one very special girl back in New York” AJ said as Kim froze
“turn it up!!” Kim yelled
“really?, can I ask who?” the DJ tried to get the scoop
“yeah, her name is Kim, I hope shes listening right now”
“aw I am “ Kim said softly, Amanda looked over at her and smiled.
“Well there ya have it girls it looks as though all the Backstreet Boys are taken, but hey keep the backstreet pride alive and goodnight, we want to say thank you to the Backstreet Boys for joining us tonight”
“no problem, we love you New Jersey” Kevin said
“Night guys!!” Nick said
“Were the Backstreet Boys, signing off” they said in unison then laughing.
Amanda turned off the radio
“wow” Amanda said looking at Kim
“I can’t believe what AJ said, oh my god, I can’t believe this” Kim said
“that was so sweet”
“yeah I know” Kim said trailing off “listen I don’t know if I want to go to Rome”
“what? you have got to be kidding me!!!”
“no really”
“why? whats wrong?”
“AJ”
“Come on, he likes you, and I have a feeling you like him too”
“I do, but I dont know”
“Kim, come one we’ll have fun”
“alright, but what do I do about AJ?”
“Well, if he wants to start something and so do you, then go for it, but if he wants to and you don’t just say you just wanna stay friends for right now, and yur not ready to get involved in a relationship” Amanda said pulling into a parking space at the mall
“ok” Kim said opening her door.
