food for thought:
my approximation is a bit simpler than yours, Button. I think a very real possibility exists that everything we live and/or experience emanates solely from our minds. According to this construct, the universe consists really of only one person, with the rest being a cast of characters crucial to this person's survival, and more specifically his sanity. every conversation he has, every book he reads, every song he hears, any religious beings he prays to, have all been created with the hope of once again keeping him comfortable and sane. essentially, anything that doesn't directly affect or influence this person is secondary, and serves no greater function than to occupy his mind with ancillary data. ostensibly, this model isn't really chaotic at all since it's all traceable back to a single source. since all of these events are imagined, the thousands upon thousands of possible permutations which exists around us are basically unimportant because they don't happen if we choose to not allow them to. -p.n.
