He handled lead/rhythm guitar and vocals for the band ScatterGood, which has taken a hiatus. It seems ScatterGood also went by the name Mad Theory; their email addy was madtheory@geocities.com. Snippets of their songs "April Rider," "Along the Way," "Miles Away," "Shift," "Standing Down" and "Thimbles of Soul," may be found in WAV format at ScatterGood's Demos. However, these demos are, in EQ's own words, very experimental due to the fact that they were made for producers of the production company that financed them. Growing up at Berkeley, EQ studied with guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani.

EQ recently did his first solo demo CD, entitled Quinn, with three songs produced by his friend Chris Lloyd: "Because of You," "Cause I Do" and "We Had It Made." We particularly like "Because of You."
