This inspiring story of the Edelweiss Pirates, several thousand German teenagers, who resisted the Nazis during World War II, is little known in Germany and almost unknown to the rest of the world. Yet, these working-class youngsters put up more active resistance to the Nazis than any other group in wartime Germany.
November 1944, the final months of the war. The Gestapo undertakes a gruesome execution of six of these teenagers together with seven adults, whom the youngsters worked with in their anti-Nazi efforts in Cologne. This film tells their story. Who were the Edelweiss Pirates?
