Rhondda Cynon Taff is leading the way in
beating flytipping through a major new investment in "Waste Busters".
The Waste Busters scheme was introduced by
Councillor Adrian Hobson who is also Cabinet Member for Environmental
Improvement at Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Adrian said "The idea was to set up a fast
response unit with the resources to sort out fly tipping. We cut across
the legal tangle which had paralysed the last administration. We set up
three new teams of staff with vans who respond quickly and are flexible
about what they pick up.

e-mail link. Wastebusters will do the
rest.
Wastebusters will also
tackle flyposting.

huge issue. It's unsightly and unhealthy and, at worst it can depress
commercial and industrial development.
Who wants to shop in a
dirty shopping centre?
Japanese or American
companies are particularly sensitive to unkempt streets - they don't like to
invest where they think people don't care about their environment.
