Ascension
"After the 3rd Coming,
Althea was ruined by the mass of wars that wrought
the lands that were once beautiful. The
Knights of the Realm retreated the
desolate badlands and regrouped at the castle
at Raven's Dust. The Goblins
of Righteousness heralded a new beginning in
the hills of the once mighty
Jarko the Necromancer. The Beings of Order,
also known as the Order of
Balance were abandoned in the dark forests of
Raven's Dust in hibernation.
P'Tang, Lich of Althea,
began swarming the lands with unstoppable raging
undead creatures. Life will never be the same
again. Daemons flew high above
the flaming ruins of Lighthaven and Windhowl,
under the command of Zerashk
Gulida. Darkness was coming, devouring the
light, and slaughtering the
living, consuming the corpses that remained
from wars long since passed.
The Order of Balance's
Tower lay in ruins among the raging Orcs that pounded
it to the ground. P'Tang, ever so willing to
achieve dominance over Althea,
took the large crystal shard of light that
empowered the mighty Golems that
were the Beings of Order. P'Tang twisted the
light if the shard and in it,
he placed his power and used the powers of
the crystal shard against the Golems.
The dark winds blew hard
against the shadowing trees in the forests of
Raven's Dust. The essence of the Golems
weakened as they were in their
curled, laying in a hibernating state. P'Tang
neared each one with a ebony stave,
absorbing each one's essence into the twisted
shard that sat atop the stave of dark qualities.
The dragon golem, Drago,
freed himself from P'Tang's power and escaped
leaving his fellows behind. The others'
essence has been absorbed into the
shard and the shells of stone melted away in
rays of light.
A few months later, the
Goblins of Righteousness, the Knight of the Realm,
and the Gods of Althea rose up against
P'Tang's forces. The Lich knew it
would be a futile battle, as the battle raged
forth, P'Tang chose the bodies
of 6 dead heroes and placed the twisted
essences of the Beings of Order into
them. And so the Gathering of Darkness
formed.
It was not long until
P'Tang won the battle with his new servents, but it
was one undead hero that changed the state of
rank. Vautour rose up against
P'Tang with his own spellbook used against
him, breaking the control over
the Gathering. Vautour led the others unto
Arakas, where they wander,
salvaging memories of who they were.
A new dark power has
arisen. The war of the heavens cannot be contained. The
fires of hell infesting the world of man,
evil shall rot the flesh in the
guise of the people in which it shall wreak
its vengeance upon, peace shall
be taken away from man, and death shall
plague this world...
WHO THEN SHALL BE SAVED?"
