GO THERE.
- The results from Best of the Rest 2 have been been put up in the Results and Supershow sections. Also, the Win-Loss Records have been updated. - Our ring is being moved BACK to the Bainbridge Budokan this week. It's previous location was much too depressing. You cannot imagine the white trash that was lurking there.
- We may hold a show at our new homemade ring this coming weekend, depending on the weather, and whether or not people are gay. - And never fear, children, the "Best of" tape project is not dead. The first plan fell through (i.e. relying on S2K & Co.), but we have hopefully procured an actual editing studio, which we will use over the Christmas holidays. Providing all goes well, we should have a tape out VERY early in the year, only 4 months later than we first promised. Heh.
- Also, a new Scott Henson interview has been put up in the Interviews section. - A few minor corrections to a couple of the bios have been made.
- The date for VCW's next ASW supershow is confirmed: Sunday, November 17th @ 3 p.m. The main event will be interesting, to say the least: the two men who are the best of partners and the best of rivals, Scott Henson & Lenny D, will be taking on ASW's own Troll in a Handicap Match. It's gonna be wack, yo. Other matches include Daniel Makabe taking on Chris Mason in a Falls-Count-Anywhere match, Ghetto Pantera debuting against S2K, and a Canadian Title defence by Psychotic Kid (most like against Zeus McFly, Christian Drake, or Matt Williams... or all of the above). The title of the event will be VCW: Best of the Rest 2, as it is occuring exactly one year after our first Best of the Rest. We would usually reserve this event name for a tournament, but we had one last event, so stop whining! - Finally, the profile for Yakuza J (formerly The Man-Beast) has been updated. Look for more profile updates in the near future. - (written about 20 minutes after above message) Whaddya know, Scott Henson's and Lenny D's bios have been updated.
- On a more positive note, VCW ran its fourth supershow at the ASW Wrestleplex on 9/21/02. We saw the crowning of a new Canadian Champion in Psychotic Kid, and a new Triple Crown Champion, as "Hot Shit" Scott Henson defeated Lenny D., ending his 3 1/2 month reign. Some interesting things happened after the match involving a certain ASW wrestler. More on this later. - HeXX came back at the supershow, under a more serious persona. He is now going by Matt Williams (not to be confused with the third baseman of the same name). However, we don't know if he is fully recovered from his collarbone injury yet, as he didn't actually wrestle. He came in and toyed with his scheduled opponent, Psychotic Kid, and then just left, giving PK the countout win. - And in the big news of the day, it is rumored that Scott Henson & Lenny D. will be working each other on the 10/26/02 ASW show. VCW in the big leagues? Who'd a' thunk it?
- VCW's next supershow will be on 8/16/02. The scheduled main event is Scott Henson taking on The Man-Beast. This match should be a different flavour than their previous match on 7/7/02, because that match was a respectful match between friends, but things have changed since then. On 7/21/02, Scott Henson & Lenny D. turned on their partners (The Man-Beast and MAKABE, respectively) and formed a new alliance. So, the upcoming match between Henson and Man-Beast should prove to be much more emotional than than previous encounter, because Henson wants to show the world that he is better than the Man-Beast, and Man-Beast is furious at Henson for turning on him. Also on the card is New BS-X (Triple Crown Champ Lenny D. & S2K) taking on Saiko Pantera & Psychotic Kid in a Table Match. Lenny has been having quite some trouble lately with Saiko Pantera, and plans to put him in his place (and through a table) on August 16th. The third match booked is Daniel Makabe (who has reverted to his original name after being turned on by Lenny D.) vs. Chris Mason. Makabe has been running in on Mason's matches and dropping him on his head with various wacky piledrivers. After being deserted by Lenny D., Makabe feels he has something to prove, and he plans on doing so with Chris Mason. - In some unforutnate news, up-and-comer HeXX broke his collarbone in a match against The Merc on 7/21/02. It isn't too bad a break, though, and we hope to see him back by September. VCW wishes him a speedy recovery. - VCW's new "Best Of" videotape is in production right now. We hope to have it out before school starts in September. Providing all goes well, you are going to want this tape... BAD. Nearly 8 hours of the best VCW matches, promos, music videos, and who knows what else.
- We also have results up from our mini-show on 6/15/02.
