Hello and welcome theatre lovers! This is my site that is dedicated to "all that is Broadway" and sometimes even more!
I'm terribly sorry that I've been busy for the past months and I haven't been able to do much at all since February.
Please keep in your mind that this site is forever changing...and usually on a day-to-day basis, so visit often!
You also might realize that everywhere you go you'll find merchandise that you can go buy. Hey...I'm just trying to spread the love!
Also, please e-mail me at Cepheus9@aol.com with questions/comments, ideas, or if you'd like me to post anything! Thanks, and enjoy your stay!

CRITICS AREN’T INVITED TO "BELLS ARE RINGING"
(Feb. 16, 2001) – The Broadway-bound, $6 million revival of "Bells Are
Ringing" has tryout in Stamford, CT next week but the critics aren’t being
invited to see how Faith Prince does in the musical that originally
starred the incomparable Judy Holliday. The producers have labeled the
seven performances "previews" and are declaring that "Bells Are Ringing"
is a "work in progress." Frank Rizzo of The Hartford Courant responds that
$120 for a pair of tickets suggests that theatergoers will consider it a
finished product and recalls that critics were invited to an identical
tryout of the original when the musical had its world premiere on Oct. 15,
1956 in New Haven. Rizzo notes that state law "specifically states that a
critic buying a ticket has every right to attend a public show and review
it." Which prompts a question for producers everywhere: Would you really
want a critic, with ticket in hand, to be ticked off before the curtain
goes up?
The Tony Award-winning musical "Rent," which opened on April 29, 1996,
marked its 2,000th performance on Sunday. The show currently ranks as the
20th longest-running show in Broadway history.
It’s unprofessional for a reporter or critic to gush over a performer – at
least not in the star’s presence – but Diane White of The Boston Globe can
certainly be excused for her excitement over a recent telephone interview
with Dame Edna Everage. Who wouldn’t gush? Dame Edna had the perfect
answer when told that she was idolized. "You mustn’t," she said. "I’m just
a person. Don’t put me on a pedestal. There’s no difference between me and
you except that I’m rich and talented and you’re not." It’s not easy being
a scribe.
New in CD stores on Tuesday – "A Class Act" from RCA Victor.
