I am a junior in the A Cappella Choir, and the show choir, Singer Company, at Irving High School.  This is my first year to be in both of these choirs and they are two very different experiences. A Cappella is a concert choir. While Singer Company could be considered an Athletic credit!! Recently members of Singer Co. and A Cappella went to contest and two of Irving High's madrigals consisting of: (madrigal one) Samantha Worral, Tonya Cadenhead, Timathy Castillo, Chase Gooding, Duke Anderson, Brittany Jeter, Susannah Halsey, and Jovany Alejo (madrigal two) Jay Edwards, Laurel Halsey, Priscilla Torres, Nicole Ashford, Victor Ruiz, Jason Whitfield, and Corey Wright received first division ratings along with soloists: Corey Wright, Laurel Halsey, Chase Gooding, and Duke Anderson.  This group of talented people will be heading to Austin soon for State Competition.  Also the Choirs Spring shows will be coming up in early May.  The choir banquet is ale coming up on May 17 and is open to all invited guests.
