The "It's All About Me" aka "Pain in the ass" Soprano
Shauna's bio:
Shauna’s first solo was at age 10, singing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” for the fourth grade play, “The Wizard Of Oz”. That same year, she taught herself how to play the guitar. She has been performing since, both in choruses (fourth grade to present) and in a solo career, singing folk and pop for coffee houses, restaurants, and special events. She studied music therapy in college and has had her own private practice since 199l. She formed her own pop/country trio, “Joie de Vivre”, in 1995, playing guitar and also doing a cappella vocals with them. She has been singing back-up vocals for Judy Fjell, a well-known feminist singer/songwriter, since 1995. She is a current member of the SF/MCC Praise and Worship Choir and the Canta Bella Chorus, a feminist chorus. Her biggest challenge, however, has been as a member of the SATB quartet, “Let’s Do It”. The music is challenging and the experience exciting and stimulating. Her primary hope is that her music makes a positive difference in peoples’ lives.
