I actuall love most of this LP. I think Donna's vocals are the best ever! She sounds great and sounds like she is enjoying it.

I'm not sure of all the details, but what I heard was....
New York Mag printed...Summer Not Ready To Say Sorry (or something to that effect)
Basically,
The story was that Donna had recorded a song written by long time friend, Paul Jabara. It was supposed to be an apology of sorts (for yet again "the rumour") to her Gay fans. Which implies that Donna DID say what had long been a "rumour". This all comes at a very bad time.....Mistaken Identity's release!
Donna called a press conference where she denys making the statement (something like...AIDS is God's punishment for being Gay), or even thinking it...."That is not how I feel". Tears were shed.
I saw a portion of Donna's press conference on E!
Aparently the song was recorded ages ago....nothing to with apologizing for anything. It never made it onto an album and was never intended for Mistaken Identity.
I also saw a very emotional Donna on ET "I hate NO ONE"
Of course the album tanked.
I guess this was also the time Donna's sister died, so she did not do much promotion of the lp....at least not here in the states.
