  • Anna Goodman - Ben's first wife. Credited with co-writing Alice Childress, The Last Polka, Smoke, and Protection. Now working with Robert Becker.

  • Ben Kweller - Toured Australia and recorded an EP as one third of the The Bens.

  • Ben Lee - Toured Australia and recorded an EP as one third of The Bens.

  • Chuck Folds - Ben's brother, also a musician currently playing in two bands, Rubberband and Old Skool.

  • Darren Jessee (bio) - Former drummer for Ben Folds Five. Now writes, sings, and plays guitar in his own band, Remover.

  • The Divine Comedy - Neil Hammond co-headlined shows with Ben in the U.K. in Autumn 2002 and opened for Ben during the Ben Folds and a Piano tour. 

  • Fleming and John - Fleming McWilliams and John Painter. Friends of Ben, they have helped on his albums & vice versa. John Painter is recording Speed Graphic in addition to playing bass. Fleming McWilliams joined Ben and William Shatner on stage in Los Angeles in 2002.

  • Glen Phillips - Former lead singer of Toad the Wet Sprocket now solo, friend of Ben's. Opened at Ben's first solo show and played with the touring band on Jay Leno.

  • International Orange - North Carolina band formed in summer 2003 consisting of Robert Sledge, Snuzz, Django Haskins, and Chris Stephenson.
  • Jim Bogios (bio) - Played drums on tour with Ben in 2001 and on Speed Graphic.

  • John McCrea - Cake frontman, sings backup vocals on "Fred Jones Part 2" on Rockin the Suburbs and Ben Folds Live.
  • Millard Powers - An old friend of Ben's, played bass on tour with Ben in 2001.

  • Robert Sledge (bio) - Former bassist for Ben Folds Five. Now part of International Orange with Snuzz.

  • Snuzz - An old friend of Ben's, played guitar on tour with Ben in 2001. Now part of International Orange with Robert Sledge.

  • Tori Amos - Ben is touring as Tori's "Special Guest" in the Lottapianos tour, late summer 2003.
  • Weird Al Yankovich  - The infamous Weird Al directed the Rockin' the Suburbs video and joined the band for Song For The Dumped in Los Angeles. Ben plays piano on a track called "Why Does This Always Happen To Me" on Poodle Hat.

  • Will Owsley - Friend of Ben, Ben helped out on a couple of tracks on his album.

  • William Shatner - The man who needs no introduction performed on Fear of Pop, and Ben is producing Shatner's new album. Joined Ben and Fleming on stage in Los Angeles in 2002.
