Chapter 2

*in Maryland on the Fourth of July*

"Lisa! Are you gonna get your butt down here for the BBQ?" Roger asked his niece.

She had moved in with him and his wife, Janet, almost two months ago. She was a handful, with personality 180s all the time. But he couldn't blame her, she had been through a lot in her young life and seemed older than her 16 years. When his baby brother, Evan, called about Lisa coming to get away from everything there Roger gladly agreed. Being so far from his family was hard and he would do anything to have more family close to him, and Lisa was his favorite of Evan's 3 children.

"Do I gotta? I'm tryin' to write this stupid song and I have a block that I'm trying to work past. And besides, why would I wanna hang out with a bunch of your 'old' friends?" Lisa said as she looked over the tattoo on her right ankle of a blood red and lilac purple rose she had gotten before.. well when she was w/Misty. An identical match to the one Misty had gotten too.

"Why do you asume everyone here tonight is gonna be 'old'? Am I old? Well I know I am. But I promise you that if you come down stairs for A LITTLE while you'll enjoy yourself. And if not.. hmm.. you can use my porche for the rest of the summer" Roger said trying to bribe his neice.

"I don't like driving your car. It's wimpy. A mustang is a REAL car. And I MIGHT show my face. But I wanna work on this please." She said to her uncle with a sad, pittiful face.

"Thats pittiful" Roger chuckled at her "But if you REALLY don't want to grace the people with your presence than alright. But the downstairs bathroom is out of order so there maybe some traffic up here." Roger said as he left Lisa alone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *down stairs*
"Roger, man, where is your restroom?" JC, the 23 year old son of Roger's closest friends Roy and Karen Chasez, asked.
"JC, you know where it's at. But you'll have to use the upstairs one. Second door on the left, I think." Roger shrugged as JC walked to where he was told.
*upstairs*
"Second door to the left" JC mummbled to himself as he looked for the bathroom. 'Thats not the rest room, that must be Lisa, Rogers niece' JC thought to himself as he saw the brown haired girl sitting at a keyboard playing a song new to his ears.
Lisa felt someone watching her, so she looked up. "May I help you?" she acked politely to the pop star standing in her doorway.
*Flashback*
"Hi I'm Josh" a tall stranger said to the ten year old girl.
"Lisa" she said quietly.
"Why are you sitting here all alone? It's a barbaque you should be having fun." the blue eyes Josh said to the girl as he sat down next to her, trying to figure out why a young child would look like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.
"Not really feeling festive today" She said looking into his blue eyes.
"Whys that? If you don't mind me asking?"
"Just a lot on my mind thats all."
"Can I ask what? You shouldn't look so sad at a party. You should have fun. Dance or whatever. It's a party."
"Earlier in the month a friend of mine was killed by a drunk driver, so my parents sent me out here to visit my uncle till I asume they think I'll have forgotten" the girl said feeling like she could tell him the world. Yet not knowing what she had just said.
"Thats awful" he said
*end of flashback*
"oh what? sorry I have a lot on my mind." Lisa said smiling, a little embarassed, at the handsome young man.
"Where have I heard the 'a lot on my mind' before? Why Lisa, so we meet again." JC said walking over to the young lady he remembered, yet hasn't seen in six years. 'Damn she grew up in six years' he thought to himself.
"Why Josh, see you've made a name for yourself. I must say congragulations. You must have worked extrememly hard for it." She smiled at him. 'And he's just as good looking as he was 6 years ago. DAMN!' she thought to herself.
"What brings you to Maryland, Princess?" he asked using the nickname he gave her long ago.
"The same as last time, just now it's permanent."
"Thats awful. I don't know why they think sending you away will do much difference."
As Lisa talked to JC about anything and everything (just not the exact reason she was there, she wasn't into re-living what hapened with Misty) for 2 hours she felt her life slowing regaining some sence of sanity it had lost when Misty, well... when... before Misty.
"JC, where is your scrawny ass!?" A voice yelled from the hall.
"What the hell do you want Curly?" JC said as he opened the door and peered into the hallway.
"Karen asked me to find you. Everyone thought you left. What the hell are you doing?" Justin asked.
"Talking and you can tell everyone I haven't left, just talking to an old friend. See for yourself." he said moving so the tall blond haired boy could enter the room. "Justin, this is Lisa, Rogers neice, and an old friend of mine"
"Hello" She said to the familiar stranger.
"uhhh.. Hi." he studered, taken back by her innocence and beauty. 'WOW! she's not the most gogeous girl, but WOW! Something about her is just WOW.'He thought to himself. "So JC, she's an old friend of you're huh? Thats news to me."
"J-man, whats with you? You're acting strange.. Why? Oh wait, never mind. I know what it is" JC said to his blond buddy with an evil grin on his defined face.
Justin shot his friend an evil look than turned his attention to the girl sitting across the room. "So, Lisa, how did you get the unlucky joy of meeting Joshy?" Justin asked trying to annoy his friend.
"Easy, everytime I get banished here I seem to run into him. Oh well though." Lisa stated flatly. "I must say with the love you two show each other your tours must be a riot" She stated sarcasticly. "Why Justin you just gonna stand in the doorway or are ya gonna come in?"
Justin entered her room with caution as if it was gonna attack him.
"So Lisa where are you from?... Wait what do you mean 'banished here'? I find it relativly nice around here" Justin said a little confused.
"I mean banished as in my parents sent me here to live with my uncle as a hope to save what sanity I had left. And ya know I think they were a little late in their atempt to be actual parents. And Montana." She said kinda dryly.
"Your parents aren't THAT bad" a voice said from the door.
"Damnit Roger! You scared the hell out of me" Lisa said.
"Damnit? Hell? ROGER?" Roger stated kinda shocked by his neice's actions. "No. You do not swear in mine, your aunts, or any adults presence, and it's UNCLE ROGER to you my dear niece."
"Yeah, whatever UNCLE ROGER" she said rolling her eyes.
"Lisa show some respect would ya?" JC said teasingly.
"Is it gang up on me day or something? Jeez." Lisa joked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*Downstairs*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Where is JC and Justin?" Joey, a part red haired (and when I say red thats what I mean, RED), and brown haired man asked to not really anyone particular.

"JC was talking to Lisa and Justin was looking for him so probably talking to her too." Janet said to the young man. "Across the hall from the upstairs bathroom." she said directing the yound man.

"Alright" A confused Joey said. "Who the hell is Lisa?"

"Lisa is Rogers neice. She's a little stuck up. Well at least she was 6 years ago. She only talked to JC." TJ Chasez stated.

"Still confused here, but alright. I'll just go see for myself."

"TJ, you never made an atempt to talk to her." Janet said to the younger son of her close friends Roy and Karen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*upstairs*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"See it how you will. It doesn't matter to me. Just watch what you say to me from now on." Roger said.
"Here it comes sarcastic remark Lord knows what number." JC mumbled to his buddy under his breathe.
"UNCLE Roger, you know as well as I do you can't 'watch what you say'. Words can't be seen unless it's signing or writing" Lisa said with a smirk on her face.
"Whatever, you know what I mean." Roger said. "Ah Hello Joey."
"Hello Sir. Is JC and Justin around here anywhere?" Joey asked Roger.
"We're right here Joey" JC said to his other buddy. "Joey this is Lisa, Rogers niece. Lisa this is Joey." JC said as Joey entered the room.
"Hello." Joey said looking at the girl.
"Hello Joey. And JC, I haven't lived in a cage or cave for the last few years, I'm very well aware of who he is. Montana isn't THAT far from the real world, there is TV, cable, the internet and other ways to access the outside world." Lisa said to her friend.
"You're from Montana?" Joey asked with acurious look on his face.
"Yep also known as the 7th Circle of Hell." She said with a chuckle.
The four people became fast friends. And Justin was quite drawn to the secretive girl.
