Chapter Thirty Seven

"So did you and Justin finally get to have an undisturbed night alone?" Mary Beth smiled, taking a sip of her coffee. It was about 10 the following morning and Mary Beth, Chris, Joey, Justin and I were in our swimsuits, sitting on the pool's patio with their breakfast.

I laughed, looking over Mary Beth's shoulder to the table where Justin, Chris, and Joey were sitting, "Well, kind of..." I said, watching Justin laugh as he put a spoonfull of cereal into his mouth.

"Kind of?"

"Yeah... Justin was acting kind of weird," I said, looking towards the opening patio doors as Eric and Lance stepped outside, hand-in-hand.

"What do you mean?" Mary Beth asked, and I drew my attention back to our conversation.

"He was all worried about Brian coming today," I told her.

"Why should he be worried?" Mary Beth looked confused.

"He shouldn't be... that's the thing. I told him not to worry... but he said he didn't like that Brian had a 'surprise' for me. It's just strange that he's acting jealous now," I said, stirring my coffee.

"He'll get over it... Just take it as flattery. Besides, it's not your problem, it's Justin's. You should be able to spend time with Brian when you want to," Mary Beth said.

"I know, you're right. And I've really missed Brian since we left Lexington. I was laying in bed last night, thinking about how awesome it'll be to have Brian around again. I care about him so much... I just wish Justin understood."

"QUIT IT!!!" Mary Beth and I whipped our heads around to see Justin and Joey lifting Lance high into the air above the shimmering water in the pool.

Eric stood behind the two men, trying to coax them into putting his boyfriend down, "Guys, for real... C'mon, let him go!" Eric pleaded, laughing a little.

Chris cheered from his seat back at the table, "THROW HIM IN!! THROW HIM IN!!"

"GUYS!!! STOP!" Lance shrieked once more. Justin and Joey smiled at each other, giving the signal... and in went Lance.

Eric sighed, "My God... you guys are so mean sometimes," he laughed as Justin and Joey high-fived and made their way back to their food. Eric kneeled on the side of the pool as Lance surfaced from the crystal water.

"Thanks for all the help," Lance joked, running his fingers through his wet hair.

"I'm glad I could be of service," Eric leaned in to kiss the soaking wet blond.

"Uh-huh... my hero..." Lance grinned slyly, reaching up and pulling Eric into the pool with one swift motion. The guys all cracked up. "Nice one, Scoop!" Justin yelled.

"Yeah... shut up, punk," Lance called back to him, sticking out his tongue.

Justin rose from his seat, "Now you know I can't let you get away with that..." he said as he took off towards the pool, lifting his legs high to his chest, and canon-balling directly into Lance and Eric's faces.

"Well, it looks like Justin isn't too preoccupied at the moment..." Mary Beth said, laughing at his childishness.

"Yeah, I think you're right," I laughed.

"Ay Joey!!! Gimme some help here!" Justin choked out from the pool, where Eric and Lance were continuously dunking him under the water.

I shook my head and smiled, turning away from the guys' fun, "So how about you... Did you sleep well?" I asked Mary Beth, taking another sip of coffee.

"Um... not really," she smiled, putting a forkfull of scrambled eggs into her mouth.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Uh, well... let's just say that JC has some major sinus issues on specific nights..." she blushed, chuckling.

I laughed, "So you got a snorer too?" I asked, remembering the few times that I had to plug my ears during the night.

"OH yeah... And don't even compare Justin to Jace in that area. I completely thought that he was going to wake up the entire house last night," she cracked up.

"Well, Justin's not THAT loud... He's just a heavy breather. I can always tell when he's asleep and when he's not," I told her.

"Yeah... JC either makes no noise whatsoever, or he's like a freakin' orchestra. The funniest thing is..." Mary Beth trailed off, bursting into laughter.

"What? Tell me," I urged her on.

"It's just... I can always predict when the loudest nights are," she giggled.

"You can? How?" I asked.

"Take a wild guess..." she smirked, "He only snores if he falls asleep right after we have sex... and he practically ALWAYS falls dead asleep." We both broke into hysterics, tears forming in our eyes from the laughter.

"He's still up there, snoring away... I was hoping he'd get it all out of his system, cause Lord knows I can't take another night of it! It's been two straight nights... and, if you can believe it, the first night was even worse than last night. I had to hit him at least ten times before he just grunted, rolled over, and started up again!" she laughed more, wiping tears from her eyes.

Just then, I saw JC walking outside through the door. He was still in his pajamas, yawning, and heading straight towards Mary Beth and I.

"What are y'all laughing about?" JC walked up behind Mary Beth, bending down and wrapping his arms around her.

Mary Beth jumped a little, startled to see JC at that moment. She covered her mouth, still laughing, and motioned for me to talk.

"Oh, nothing... we were just watching the guys fighting in the pool," I lied.

JC turned and looked at the pool. I saw that Justin and Joey were now tossing a volleyball around, and Eric and Lance sat on the side of the pool, dangling their feet into the water and kissing softly.

"They're fighting?" JC asked me, looking confused.

I tried desperately to change the subject and even harder to keep from laughing, "So... did you sleep well, Jace?" I asked, stifling a laugh.

"Oh yeah, like a baby..." he looked at Mary Beth and smiled, "I always sleep so well when you're with me," he kissed her forehead sweetly.

I could tell that Mary Beth took a deep breath to stop laughing, "Awww, thank you baby," they kissed gently.

The two went back inside so that JC could have what was left of the remaining breakfast that Lynn had made for all of us. I sat there, quietly finishing my pancakes and coffee, and thinking more about the arrival of Brian. I reached for the fresh pot of coffee on the table to fill my cup once again.

"You lonely, baby?" I heard Justin's soft voice. I looked towards the pool, and my eyes met Justin's. His arms were folded on the side of the pool, his chin resting on top of them as he smiled at me.

"Are you?" I grinned back at him.

"Nope. I was kinda enjoying just hangin' out... watching you," he bit his lower lip as his smile grew, "But I'd enjoy myself a lot more if you came in here with me," he pulled back from the side of pool, gesturing for me to join him.

I stood up, pulling off my robe and revealing a black and silver string bikini. I walked over to where Justin stood in the water, sitting down on the side and slipping my feet into the warmness.

"Hey..." I smirked as I leaned down, Justin stretched up, and our lips met.

"Mmmmmm... Hey," Justin licked his lips when we finally parted. "What time is it?" he asked, placing his arms on my legs and resting his chin on them as he was previously doing on the pool's edge.

"I'm not sure..." I replied.

Chris strode past us on his way into the house, "It's almost noon," he told us, looking at his watch.

"Thanks man," Justin said as Chris opened the door and went inside.

I glanced around the patio and the pool, "Did everyone go inside?" I asked, seeing no one else nearby.

"Yeah. Lance and Eric disappeared a while ago, and Joey went in when JC and Mary Beth did... I think he wanted to make sure that JC didn't finish all the food," Justin laughed, kissing my thigh sweetly.

"Uh-huh..." I said with a contemplative look on my face, "So that means..." I reached down and lifted Justin's face up, "...we're all alone..." I brushed my lips against his, slightly nibbling at his soft flesh.

"Mmmmmm, yes it does..." Justin obliged, nugding our noses together, and connecting his smile with mine. He reached around my waist, sliding me off of the edge and into the silky water.

Justin's hands graced the back of my neck, tilting my head back as our tongues slipped in and out of each other's mouths. I heard the swishing of water and felt the the liquid circulate around me... Justin was moving us. We continued our kiss as I wrapped my legs around him, holding onto him with one arm, and rubbing his firm chest with the other.

I quickly felt Justin's hard dick against my center as we came to a stop. Justin drew back from my mouth, replacing his lips on my neck. I opened my eyes, seeing that we were at the far end of the pool now, my back against the side. I wrapped my arms around Justin as he licked downwards, tugging at my bikini straps with his fingertips.

Justin let out a moan against my mouth as I glided my hands into the water, gently sliding down his shorts to caress his hard-on. I felt his hands disappear from my body, and then quickly return at the crotch of my bikini. His fingertips toyed with the fabric, eagerly trying to pull it aside.

"Uh, Excuse me... Justin?" a voice called from the house's direction. I sighed as Justin spun around quickly. I pulled up his shorts and straightened out my bikini as my eyes focused on our visitor-- It was Paul, Justin's step-father.

"Oh, hi- Hi Paul... What's up?" Justin called to him, trying to act as though his step-dad hadn't seen anything that was happening in the pool.

I heard Paul chuckle to himself, wishing he hadn't caught us at such an awkward moment. He cleared his throat, "You guys have a visitor inside," he told us, turning back and going into the house.

He closed the patio door behind him, and Justin's shoulders collapsed. "Jesus... thank God it was just Paul," he said, facing me again and pecking me on the mouth.

"What do you mean, 'just Paul?' It was still embarrasing as all hell!" I laughed, softly brushing a coil of Justin's wet hair away from his forehead.

"No, I know... but Paul's cool like that. Mom's the one I worry about. She'll let us have our own room and never bother us... but somehow, she'll end up accidently walking in on something she shouldn't, and it'll scar the poor woman for life," he laughed, taking my hand and climbing out of the pool.

I heard Justin sigh heavily as we walked around the pool to one of the tables with towels piled on it.

"You okay, sweety?" I asked as Justin picked up a fluffy blue towel, swinging it over my shoulders.

"Yeah, I'm fine... we just need to go see our 'visitor,'" Justin rolled his eyes and grabbed another towel, wrapping it around himself.

I sighed at his comment, reaching for his hands and linking my fingers through his, "Justin, please... Don't be like that."

"I know, I know, baby... Sorry," Justin pulled me close to him as we huddled into our towels and the cool breeze whipped at our wet bodies.

"I don't want you to be sorry, Justin... I just want to to get that Brian is my friend, who I care a lot about, but I love you... I don't know how to make it anymore clearer to you," I rested my forehead on his chin, closing my eyes.

Justin let out a sigh and kissed my forehead, brushing my hair behind my shoulders, "Baby, you don't have to make anything clear, I know..." Justin's lips parted and he smiled, looking back at me with gleaming eyes, "C'mon, let's go inside."

Justin led me through the patio doors and into the kitchen. Our still wet, bare feet padded onto the cold tiles, and finally onto the soft carpeting that led to the front door and into the living room. I looked around the empty, elegant room that layed before us.

"Okay... Where is everybody?" I asked.

Justin shrugged and we proceeded to walk towards the hallway that led to another guest room and the game and TV room, where people were likely to be hanging out.

I heard the creak of the front door, and someone obviously struggling, "Mmmmph... I'm right here, but I don't know about anybody else."

I whipped around immediatly, running in the direction of Brian's voice.

"Brian!!" I yelled, my smile stretching from ear to ear. Brian dropped the many bags he was holding with a thud, opening his arms wide. I hopped over the bags and straight into Brian's arms. "How've you been, girl?!" I could feel Brian's huge smile through his question.

"I've been great, how are you??" I asked, leaning back from our hug to look at him, but keeping my arms tightly wrapped around his shoulders.

"I'm pretty damn amazing, actually..." he laughed, grinning widely.

"I'm so glad you were able to come to Orlando a little early!" I said, and both of our smiles grew simultaneously, as we fell back into a large embrace.

"Uh... guys?" Justin's quiet voice echoed behind me. I had completely forgotten about him.

Laughing, I let go of Brian and turned around, "Sorry, baby-" I stopped suddenly, seeing who stood next to Justin. She was tall... taller than me, but not quite Justin's height. Her black spiraly hair fell across her shoulders and spilled down her back and onto her face. Large, silver hoop earrings poked through her many curls. Her eyes were small underneath heavy eye make-up, and her lips were coated with dark gloss, her smile more like a knowing smirk. One hand sat on her hip, where a pair of tight, torn-up shorts rested well above her knees. A tight, red tank top revealed her belly-button and its sparkling ring.

I stared at her for what seemed like forever, wondering if she was as big of a bitch as she looked like she was.

"Shelly! Hello??" I blinked out of my trance, seeing that Brian was now standing next to the mystery woman, one arm around her disgustingly tiny waist.

"Oh, sorry..."

Justin walked towards me, his smile growing with every step, "Brian said, 'SURPRISE!' Didn't you hear?" Justin said to me, not really wanting an answer to his question.

"Huh?" I looked at Brian, confused.

Brian chuckled and turned, looking at the woman next to him with bright, smiling eyes, "You know how I said I had a surprise for you?" he asked me.

"Yeah..."

"Well... Here she is!" Brian clung to the woman a little more, and she in turn cuddled into him, pecking his cheek softly.

"Meet my girlfriend, Diana," Brian's words rang in my head. Diana giggled, realizing her kiss had smeared lipstick onto Brian's cheek, and she threw her head back as she wiped his face off with a single thumb.

'Your girlfriend?? This ditz? Wait, why am I not happy for him??' My head spun.

"Call me Di," she stepped forward, and I did my best to smile and greet her.

'Who the hell does she think she is? The freakin' Princess of Wales?' I thought, stifling a laugh.

"It's nice to meet you, D- Di..." I choked out the words.

"You too, hon..." she giggled, moving back to Brian's side.

'She did not just call me hon... Oh lord...' I forced a slight smile with some coaxing from Justin.

"I think I found us a room, Bri. You're mom's a real sweety, Justin," Diana said, "We can move all these bags up there."

I sighed, 'Oh great... it's Di and Bri...' I thought, rolling my eyes.

"You guys are staying here?" Justin looked at them, puzzled.

"Oh, yeah... I didn't know about this yesterday when I talked to you, man. But, Di here is allergic to dogs, so we can't stay at my place..." Brian told us, taking off his baseball hat.

"You love that dog, Brian..." I said to him.

"He'll be fine without me for now. I have the same people taking care of him that have been taking care of him while I've been out of Orlando," he clasped Diana's hand and walked over to where their bags lay by the front door, "Anyways, Lynn said it was cool, and Johnny won't have a problem with 2 more people at his place when you guys are staying over there."

"Aight, cool," Justin strangely agreed, moving swiftly to help Brian with the huge piles of bags. Diana stood away from the heavy loads, which were undoubtedly all hers.

"The room is on the third floor," she instructed them.

"Wait, that's our room..." I said.

"Oh, oops-" Justin cut Diana off.

"It's okay, Shelly... We can switch to another room," Justin said with a grin, standing up with three bags on each arm.

"Um... okay..." I said. It was more than obvious that Justin was happy to see Brian arrive with a girlfriend... and a gorgeous girlfriend at that.

The guys headed towards the spiral staircase, while Diana and I followed behind.

"Bri's told me a lot about you," she directed this towards me, but avoided my eyes as we walked up the stairs, "Oh, and thanks for switching rooms, Sally," she rounded the top of the stairs before me, and with a toss of her hair, she headed up the next flight to get to the third floor. I sighed heavily, wondering where in the world Brian found her.

"It's Shelly..." I whispered under my breath.

"Who in the hell was that?" I heard Mary Beth say from down that hall. I turned around and saw her walking towards me.

"Di," I said, my anger coming through my voice.

"Di? Like the princess?" Mary Beth laughed.

"That's exactly what I thought... and apparently she thinks she is one," I sighed, deciding not to continue up to the third floor and walking back towards Mary Beth and JC's room with her.

"So who is she? ...besides a royal bitch," Mary Beth laughed as we entered the bedroom and she plopped down on the edge of her bed.

"Brian's girlfriend," I stated bluntly, walking towards the window.

"What? Okay, wow... Isn't that a good thing? I mean, we should be happy for him, right?" she said, unsure of her words.

"I thought I would be... But I'm finding it a little difficult at the moment," I said. The only thing running through my mind was the picture of Brian's hand linked through hers, a happy grin painted on his face.

I ran to the bathroom and proceeded to throw up all of my breakfast.
