Alyssa slowly opened her eyes, her ears straining to better hear the sound that had awoken her. Her hands groped the bed beside her, searching for the loud object. Her eyes finaly opened, grabbing the phone on the bedside table.
"He-hello?" Her voice sounded throaty, and strained.
"Alyssa? Did I wake you up?"
"Yeah, but thats ok."
"Sorry sweetie. I just got back from the show, and after party. I promised you I'd try to call," Alyssa couldnt help to smile, listening to his voice. Rubbing her eyes to clear the sleep from them, she clicked on the lamp.
"So, how are you?"
"I'm doing alright I guess. Now, how are you doing? You didnt sound to happy earlier when I called," Alyssa sighed, she could hear the conern in Justin's voice, and she knew he deserved to know what had happened.
"I've just been having some really bad past few days thats all. I dont know anyone here, I was nervous for my show, and I had a terrible radio interview...you know i don't like them anyways,"
"What happened in the interview?"
"Oh, just a rude fan. She asked me if you, and I were dating. I didn't answer the question directly, I was trying to explain how close I am to you and all the guys. She got upset, and she started critizing me. Then I got upset...and admitted our relationship." Alyssa closed her eyes. She knew this could cause a lot of problems for her, and for Justin as well. It wasnt a smart move by no means.
"Oh I see. You and I will both need to do a few statments about that. Before any rumors, or anything out of control starts to happen," The tone of Justin's voice didn't show that he was worried about it at all. Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief.
"So, how did the show go litte superstar?" Alyssa giggled.
"It went pretty well. My outfit is very... bright. Im sure I blinded a few people, but other than that it went well," She smiled when she heard Justin's soft chuckles on the other end.
"Thats good to know. I better let you get back to sleep. And aren't you catching a plane in the morning to California for the video?"
"Tomorrow night, after the show."
"Oh ok. Well I'm glad I got to talk to you. I'll try to call you tomorrow."
"Sounds great. Goodnight Justin, sweet dreams."
"Sweet dreams to you too baby. I love you..." Alyssa closed her eyes again. She needed to tell him.
"And I... I ..." Justin listened to her studder on the other end. he didn't want her to have to force the words out of her mouth, he wanted her to WANT to say them.
"Bye sweetie..." Justin said clicking off the phone. Alyssa fisted her hands in the blanket in frustration. She shook her head angerily allowing a thin tear to roll down her cheek. She knew she she was hurting him, and that made her so angry at herself.
Love was so strong, and it held so many expectations. It also held bad memories for her, ones that she couldnt rid. In her heart she knew she loved Justin, and she knew that he would never do anything to hurt her. Yet, she was still scared.
