"Justin and I are very close, and I care for him very much. As I do for the rest of the guys..." Alyssa paused a moment trying to get the right words to come to mind.
"That didn't answer my question. Are you two an item?" Alyssa thought about it for a moment
"Justin and I, with being in this business, I mean we.." Alyssa couldnt think of how to explain herself. Here she was live on air, and she was at a complete loss of words.
"I get it. You're scared to say, and you're just going to lie to me. Well, Alyssa some FANS deserve to know the truth. You're nothing right now, and you already started out with some phony lies..." Alyssa was taken back. She couldn't believe that the girl had just said that. She never imagined that anyone would feel so storngly about her answer. She hadn't lied, she just didn't explain everything yet.
"I'm not lying, and yes I know I'm not very far in this business yet, but I am proud to be where I am. And I am proud of all I have accomplished. For everyone who requests my song, and bought my single I am GREATFUL, and I would never lie to those people. So, yes Justin and I are together," Alyssa sighed, waiting for the girl to respond again. She hadn't meant to be so blunt but she was upset. She waited until she head a click, and dead air.
"I think we're going to end it there guys. I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow, same time, same station. Thank you Alyssa for coming, and thank you guys for calling in," Jeff clicked 3 different buttons, and removed his headset. Alyssa pushed the curls from her eyes, running her hands over her face.
"Thank you for coming, and participating in everything. I just want to apoligize for that last caller, and thank you for being so honest." Alyssa gave a half smile, shaking Jeff's hand.
"Thank you for having me here, it was quite interesting," She stifled a small laugh, opening the large glass door. Drew was waiting outside the door to lead her back to the van. She glanced down at her cell phone once more, reading the green letters. No New Calls.
Alyssa sat patiently waiting for the final touches to be added to her hair and her makeup. They had gone with a new look, for the new show. Her hair was in tight ringlets, with small rhinestones scattered all through the dark brown curls. The same rhinstone's were in the corner of each of her eyes, as well as a pink eyeshadow. A bright pink shirt tied around her neck, baring the bottom of her tanned stomach. The shirt sparkled every time the light touched it. Her pants were the same pink of her shirt. Rhinstones to match those in her hair, lined the side of her pants, and traced around the pockets. She was more than impressed with her overall look.
Alyssa jumped when she heard the shrill of her cell phone. She glanced at the woman finishing the touches on her hair, making sure it was ok to get up. When she smiled Alyssa reached across the counter quickly picking up her cell phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, this is me," Alyssa closed her eyes, feeling better the instant she heard his voice. "How are you doing sweetie?"
"Umm... things are ok I guess," Alyssa sighed, she knew he had problems of his own, and she felt guilty telling him everything that was going wrong in her life. Yet, she wanted to tell him so bad, she wanted to be able to cry to someone... the past few days had been so lonley.
"That great huh? What happened?"
"Nows not such a great time to talk. Im going on pretty soon, and the last thing I want to do is get upset. Can you call me tonight?"
"I'll try...We've been busy, I'm sorry I havent even had a chance to call you. I feel terrible," Alyssa smiled. Justin was the only person she know who would sincerley apoligze for that.
"No problem..."
"Well, I better go. Good luck on the show, I know you've got it in you. Don't be nervous or hold it back. You've got to let loose, and just sing. I can picture you pacing right now," Alyssa laughed along with Justin when she noticed that she had walked across the same stretch of tile for the past few minutes.
"Thank you for calling, I hope to talk to you tonight."
"Me to baby, me to." Alyssa closed her eyes, listening to his voice. It was angelic, it was her own slice of Heaven when she was talking to him. "Bye now." She sighed.
"Bye," Alyssa touched the phone slightly with her fingertips, lacing it back on the table. Her day had been horrible, but things were already starting to look up.
