Chapter Twenty Four

Alyssa sighed, staring at her reflection in the mirror. The past 2 days, since they had arrived in New York had taken a poll on her unlike anything she ever could have imagined. She had spent hours in Justin's room explaining what had happened, as he comforted her. He would stroke her hair, whisper how much she meant to him,and the lengths he would go to to protect her.

She took a shower, and cleaned herself up some trying to wash away all the bad memories, and tears from the night. Sean's pleas, and Justin's promises echoed in her mind and all she could do was dwell on the fact that she was close to Sean again, and not only that, but justin was close to him as well. And he was out for blood. She had watched Justin's anger for Sean grow, and the fire that burned in his eyes had gone out of control very quickly.

She struggled at pulling her hair up and her frustration wa son overload at the moment. She was just thankful that this was their last day here, and as of midnight she would be flying to Pittsburgh for another show. She let out a forced sigh as someone knocked on the door softly. Rolling her eyes she opened it up. Her expresion softened when she saw Justin standing in front of her.

"Hey..." She smiled, waving her hand to let him inside.

"How are you doing?"

"Better. I just wanted to say sorry about last night I completly over reacted and I'm-"

"Whatever it takes to make you feel better. Anyway, I wanted to drop these by and I arranged a little surprise for us," he smiled, reaching behind his back handign her a dozen yellow roses. her breath caught in her throat as she touched the petals softly with the tips of her fingers.

"They're beautiful Justin, thank you," She reached out giving him a hug. Her thoughts wondered to the night of her preformance at the church when Justin had brought her the exact same flowers.

"I remember a long time ago the first time you met the guys at the park, you said you loved to swim. That you could live in the water. Well...I did some talking and I got half the day off for me and the guys. And I got Mike to call and he pulled a few strings and we have the YMCA in door pool all to ourselves for 3 hours. How does that sound?" Alyssa was speechless, He had gone to that much trouble just for her?

"That sounds amazing..." her words were caught in a laugh as she gigled in excitment.

Alyssa dunked her head under water pushing her hair back. this had been the most relaxing, and fun thing she had done in a while and it was exactly what she had needed to take her mind off of things.

She watched as all the guys started drying off, and getting ready to go back to the rest of the day that was looming ahead. Her palms were flat against the side of the pool as she pushed herself up, her long body lifting out of the water. She shook her head back and forth, tiny droplets of water flinging around her. Alyssa was completley unaware of Justin watching her as she tucked the damp strands of hair away from her face. His eyes followed the tiny beads of water sliding down her face, over her pink lips and down the column of her slender neck. They disappeared onto her red bikin top. New droplets formed rolling down her tanned stomach. His eyes couldnt take in enough of her. Beauty radiated out of her unlike anything he had ever seen before. He wanted to memorize every detail of her.from the way her lips curved, the tiny freckle on her stomach, to the sparkle of light in her eyes.

He slowly made his way over to her, draping a towel around her shoulders holding it in place around her waist. He hugged her tight against him, trying to preserve some warmth back into her chilled body. It was unnerving feeling her bare stomach against the palms of his hands. his cheek burried in her wet hair, her legs completly touching his own. Dipping his head he let his lips test the softness of her cheek, hovering over her own lips. They parted slightly, as Justin lowered his head, connecting the distance between them.

"You know, as SWEET as that is, it is something I really have NO desire to see..."

Alyssa pulled away reaching a hand up to her lips. The look that filled her eyes was one of pure dreams, and vulnerability. Justin touched her cheek lightly, smiling at her. He loved the way HE could create that in her, he could make her forget about everything, and he could just hold her. He loved to watch the sparkle of love and uncertainty in her eyes, because it was the same one he saw in his own reflection.
