The night ended soon...way too soon. I wanted to stay longer to talk to all the guys and get to know them better, but at about 10:00, we decided we better go. I got up and Lance came over and gave me a hug.
"I had such a great time tonight. You're friends are great and even from the few hours you've know JC, he's been so much happier. I think he likes finally having a little sister," Lance said in his deep voice.
I smiled back at him and told him how great it was meeting him. I said goodbye and headed over to Joey.
"Jessie, it was great meeting you and your friends, who knows, maybe you'll come on tour with us. I'm sure the guys would love that. Well, you'll just have to talk to him!" I smiled at the thought of how fun that would be, but right after I gave Joey a hug, he pulled be back and whispered, "If you do come on tour with us, make sure to bring Tara!"
I laughed at that, since I could tell the attraction between them from when they first saw each other. Chris then walked up to me as we gave each other a hug and quickly said goodbye, because right then Lou walked up to talk "business" with him. I decided to get out of the way and try to find Lynn to tell her thank you for having us to the party when someone tapped me on the shoulder.
I turned around to see Justin, and to see that 1 million dollar smile.
"Jessie, it was so great meeting you. I hope to see you soon," he said.
It felt amazing to have this attention on me, his eyes staring into mine. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. And I also know he's going to make so many more girls' hearts melt once *N SYNC gets big here in the US. And I can't wait for that time, to say that I know these guys.
"It was nice meeting you too. Maybe I'll see you sometime soon," I said to him.
"I think JC wanted to ask you to do something tomorrow, I'm not sure. I'll go find him for you, okay?" he asked.
"Yeah, okay. Bye!" I said as he was about to walk away.
But he turned his head around, grinning, and said, "Bye Jessie."
I was standing there for a minute, watching him walk away trying to find JC. Sarah came walked up to me with Tara.
"Ooh, it looks like someone has a crush," said Sarah.
I turned around to see them both smiling. "What do you mean?" I asked.
"Oh gosh, come on. We were standing 20 feet away and could see you batting your eyelashes at him!" Tara said.
"And did you see the way he was looking at her?" Sarah said talking to Tara as they looked at me. I could feel my face turning red as we all three started laughing.
"Where's Melanie?" I asked.
"She's STILL talking to Lance, gosh they will not shut up!" Tara said.
Sarah whispered to me, "I just now pulled Tara and Joey apart!"
Someone cleared their throat as I turned around to see JC and smiled. I looked to my side and noticed Sarah and Tara had left.
"Well, I had a great time tonight! It was so nice meeting all you guys!" I said to him.
"Yeah, same here. I'm so happy to meet you! I never knew I had a sister, but now it's really cool! Justin, Lance, Joey, Chris and I wanted to know if you and Sarah and Melanie and Tara wanted to come with us to a carnival that's in town tomorrow afternoon."
"Um...yeah, I'm sure that'd be fine with them," I said.
"Great! Where should we pick you guys up?" JC asked.
"Here, I'll write it down," I said grabbing a napkin from the table and a pen out of my purse. I wrote down Sarah's address and gave it to JC. He gave me a hug and we pulled apart and said goodbye.
I gathered my friends as they were saying their final goodbyes and we quickly went up to Lynn who was standing right next to us to say thanks. We waved goodbye and walked to the car.
"Wow, wasn't that fun!" Sarah said.
"Oh yeah! Oh, tomorrow the guys wanted to know if we wanted to go to a carnival," I said.
Everyone agreed that would be great. I'm sure it was just because Tara wanted to see Joey and Mel wanted to see Lance! But, then again, I wanted to see Justin!
