In this sequence of paintings, David likes to use the spiral to depict the cycles of life. Cycles are abundantly inherent universally, and are interwoven simultaneously in reality. The spiral is geometrically free of association however, and stands on it's own with other interspersed subject matter (juxtaposed in David's work) as an unlabeled aesthetic impression.
