The brothers of Theta Tau Chapter would like to wish Alex flynt good luck in his future endeavours. At meeting on 12/5/01 the graduating brother ceremony occurred for Alex. Again, good luck in Florida Alex!
Congratulations to our four new officers for the Spring Semester. Jonathan Williamson will be stepping in for Jon Richardson as treasurer. Jonathan brings experience to this position as he has held the position before. Kirk Clark is the new secretary, replacing Alex Flynt who is graduating this December and interning in the Florida Keys in the spring. Julio Perez is the new historian and Jason Davenport is the new music director for Theta Tau. The officers were installed at meeting, 11/28/01.
We would like to welcome 4 new brothers that were initiated November 15, 2001. Anthony Baird, Joel McGrath, Matt Lemmons, and Patrick Reynolds were brought into the brotherhood with a large group of brothers singing. Many brothers from WKU, MTSU, TSU, and others were present. Again, congratulations on the achievement of our new brothers in music.
Come out and experience an array of American music this Wednesday night, November 14, 2001. From barbershop quartets to electronic music, the brothers of Theta Tau and guests will perform an evening of music by American composers.
The 1st edition of the Second Annual Aaron Scmhidt Music Lecture Series was held Monday, November 5, 2001. The event saw the largest turnout to date as Dr. David Royse, a Theta Tau Alum and professor of music education at UT, delivered an interesting lecture about hearing loss and how it relates to musicians today. A question/answer session was held at the end of the talk and many thought provoking questions were asked by the audience. A light reception was held immediately following the event.
Another successful Mid South Marching Festival was held on October 6, 2001. A large crowd attended the event as the Theta Tau brothers helped the contest run smoothly. The Marching Governors gave two inspired performances as an upbeat student audience at prelims cheered them on. Congratulations to White House High School for their victory. To view scores click here
