Blood of a Liar Chapter 1: A peak at the letter

Quen Morrison flipped through the pages of Hogwarts, A History.
She sat and daydream about being at Hogwarts and learning witchcraft and wizardry.
She sighed. She would never go to Hogwarts or any other of the wizarding schools that she had heard so much of.
The reason was, Quen Morrison was a squib. A twelve year old Squib, unlike her older Brother, who had graduated from Hogwarts just a year ago, and her younger sister, who was too young to go to Hogwarts.
This just isn't fair, Quen thought. Everyone in my family is either a witch or a wizard.
Quen really wanted to do something great with magic one day. Instead, she was working as an apprentice in a shop that sold books. Mr. Hooker, who ran the shop was very nice, but Quen wanted to do something exciting.
"Daydreaming again, are we Quen?"
Quen spun around to find Mr. Hooker standing in the doorway.
"I'm sorry Mr. Hooker," She said and went back to polishing volume 9 of One Hundred Ways To Become Invisible.
"Something's on your mind Quen. What is it?" asked Mr. Tooker.
"Oh, nothing much. I was just thinking about how great it would be to have a chance to go to Hogwarts-" Quen started.
"Oh Quen, I told you a million times there are other potentials besides magic. You have a million of these potentials and one day, you will be able to use them. But right know, you have a little work to do." Mr Tooker insisted.
Quen muttered something before she went back to polishing her book. She worked a few hours and before she knew it, it was time to go home.
She walked down the street, wondering if she was late for dinner. A few feet ahead of her, she saw a woman, with a girl at her side. The girl kept asking why the woman had taken her to Diagon Alley, and something about a letter. The woman kept saying things like "later dear," or "be quiet, you're attracting attention!".
Right then and there, the woman did something that would change Quen's life that year. She took a letter from her bag and deliberately threw in onto the sidewalk.
Quen ran to the letter and picked it up. She couldn't believe what was on it. On the envelope of the letter was the Hogwarts Crest!
A smile of satisfaction spread across Quen's face as she got a spendid, yet very sneaky idea.
