Chapter Seven-Werewolf
James woke up on Saturday feeling much better. He had decided that he was going to try to get on with life. He sat up looked over Sirius had just got up too. “Morning Sirius,” James said. Sirius looked surprised to see James talking.
“Morning. You want to go down and get some breakfast?” Sirius asked.
“Sure,” James said. So the two threw some clothes on and walked down to breakfast. They were about half way there when they were stopped by Severus.
“Well look who it is the Potter and Black gang.” he said.
“Get lost, Severus,” James said.
“You can’t make me,” He said. At that moment all three of them pulled out their wands.
“Potter, Black is there a problem,” Professor Perrel walked around a corner.
“Professor, Severus-” but Sirius was interrupted.
“Severus did nothing I saw it all,” Perrel said, which was a lie. “But I did see you too trying to fire curse’s at him, now get lost. Oh yes and 50 points from Gryffindor for that.”
James and Sirius both left, both furious. “That was not fair, he always treats the Slytherins with more respect than any other house.” Sirius said.
“And he didn’t even see the whole thing,” James said. Then both of them said at the same time, “I hate that guy and that house.”
At breakfast the two had thought of some other ways to get Severus back. They hadn’t come up with many though. Near the end of breakfast Remus had walked in. “Hey guys,” he said.
“Hi you sure slept in huh,” James said.
“Yeah well everyone could always use some more rest.” Remus said.
“Sirius and I were just going out for a walk on the grounds want to come?” James asked.
“Sure,” said Remus. He grabbed a muffin and the three left.
“ I wonder what’s in there?” Remus asked. He was looking at the forbidden forest.
“Well since it is forbidden something probably dangerous.” Sirius said.
“I once heard that there a werewolf’s in there,” James said shuddering.
“Well it must be lunch time,” Remus said. “ I’m starving.”
“That could be because you didn’t eat breakfast Remus,” Sirius said.
Later that night Lily, Peter, James, Sirius and Remus were sitting in a corner of the common room. “ I feel sick,” Remus said. “ I think I am going to go to the nurse.” Remus got up and left the Gryffindor tower.
“Probably had too much to eat.” Peter said. The clock kept on ticking. At eleven O’clock Remus still had not returned. “That’s it I’m going to bed.” James said.
“We’re all right behind you,” said Sirius.
Next morning James woke up. He looked over to Remus’s empty bed. “Sirius wake up.” James said. “Remus didn’t come back last night.”
Sirius sat up, “Maybe he his already at breakfast or he stayed at the imfirmitory last night.”
“Well what are we waiting for lets go find him,” Peter said. He startled James and Sirius because they didn’t know he was also up. So the three got up and went down to the Dining hall. There he was Remus was sitting at the table looking very tired.
“Hey Remus,” James said. “Feeling better?” James asked.
“Yeah,” Remus said. He forced a smile. At once James knew that something was wrong. He and Sirius sat down and started eating. “So Remus,” James said. “ Do you want to tell us what is really wrong?” James asked.
Remus looked up at James and Sirius then blurted out, “I’m a werewolf.” James and Sirius looked at each other. “Last night was a full moon so I had to get away from everyone so I didn’t bite them.” Remus said.
“Oh,” said Sirius.
“ I know you guys probably won’t want to be my friends anymore. I understand.” Remus said.
“ NO, we do werewolf or no werewolf we are still your friend.” James said.
Remus sighed, “Just don’t tell Lily or Peter yet I’ll tell them when I think they’re ready.” He said.
“Sure we understand,” Sirius said.
