Chapter One-James
Deep in the center of England there was a street that people never went down. There were weird things that happened on this street things nobody could explain. On this street there lived on family, a family everybody steered clear of.
The Potters were a strange family. No one knew what they did for a living, if anything. The Potters had one child and his name was James. James was friendless. He didn’t talk much to anyone when he was out. It appeared that the Potters were hiding something, but what?
The Potters were a magical family. James mother was a witch and his father a wizard. They both went to Hogwarts, school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hogwarts has been around for a very long time. It was founded by four wizards their names were Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw,Helga Hufflepuff and Salazar Slytherin. Each of these are now the names of Hogwarts dormitories. Students attend Hogwarts for seven years.
James father was a Gryffindor and his mother Ravenclaw. This year will be James first year at Hogwarts. He is very excited.
Right now the Potter’s house is rather quiet. James mother is still asleep while James father Zachary is away and he hasn’t been home for weeks. Zachary has been out searching for Dorl Kardof, who is a dark wizard. Infact the king of dark wizards. James father is an Auror, which is a person who finds dark wizards and imprisons them.
Today is September first and James can’t wait to board the Hogwarts express, which will take him to Hogwarts.
