Economics calls it

Yes, the US will need
some time for it to financially recover. Bush is hoping for a war to
distract the American public from the bleak growth picture and high
unemployment, especially in the tech sector. There is a lot of tax money
generated from that sector that won't be there for the next upcoming years.
Therefore, it is prudent for Bush to try and generate income from the war sector
of manufacture to try and balance the budget, but that is short-lived economy.
Economics calls it "guns and butter". It has been long
proven that growth comes from butter not guns.
Anyway, I won't repeat my mistake and vote for Bush again. I am really disappointed that he put family first over country, and it appears that was his true motive for the oval office. RM, Raleigh, North Carolina

"Get out of the Palestinian territories, not exile Yasser Arafat is the answer to at least slow down the suicide bombing of the Jews in Israel. They should listen to the U.S. president, leave the occupied territories, and continue the establishment of the State of Palestine.. It's about time that Ariel Sharon retire, he had killed a lot of people and failed to settle the conflict.. He should just dream that he had killed Arafat in a gunfight like the one in the O.K.
