This weekend(October 29-31), I went to Monticello, MS for the annual A.B.A.T.E.(American Bikers Active Towards Education) field meet.  Right when we arrived in the city of Monticello strange things such as businesses with odd names began to appear.  The first business we saw was entitled "Plain and Fancy."  This struck me as odd considering that 'plain' and 'fancy' are complete opposites.  The next thing we saw that was the "Westside Lockup."  From the outside, this section of buildings appeared to be just you regular storage buildings.  But what's inside is a heavily guarded secret and we will never really know what's inside.  Once we got to the actual place we were staying, we unloaded and explored the area.  The campgrounds were right on the Pearl River.  The bathrooms nearby were not the cleanest I expected.  The lighting wasn't that good in there either.  There were plenty of bathroom alternatives if you didn't want to use the "housed" bathrooms.  These bathroom wanna-bes were strategically placed all over the park.  What was contained inside of the "bathrooms" was quite nasty.(You can check out my special 'bathroom feature' if you didn't get enough of the bathrooms yet.)  Also, while we were down there, we happened to spot Monticello's primary source of income.  Another thing that was strange was this, I will let your vast imagination come up with a reason for why this is so funny to me.  Friday and Saturday night they had some local bands performing.  68Rouge performed last on Friday and they were, in my opinion, the best band there.  Steppenwolf performed Saturday but I wasn't too interested in their performance.  Sunday morning, there wasn't much going on except church with a bunch of hung over bikers.  Church was held on this very stage.  This pile of trash that accumulated over the weekend was located right next to "church."  That was pretty much the whole weekend other than some things that shall remain unspoken.
