For Vilu Daskar the Stoat had attack Luke's settlement long ago, killing many, including Martin's own mother. So Luke set off in the Sayna, named after his late Wife, in search of revenge. He finds disaster, and he is captured by the vilainous Stoat. They make their way back to the cliffs where Luke's tribe dwells, only to find a barren diserted settlement. For the tribe had been captured and enslaved by Badrang the Stoat(See "Martin the Warrior"). Daskars ship, the "Goreleech" struck the tall rocks, tore in half, and drowned Vilu and his Corsairs. Luke went down with half as well. Martin, Gonff, and their companions set of with Vurg and Beau in tow, making their way back to Redwall. Martin finds a bag, that once belonged to his father. Inside is a piece of the past, a scrap of tapestry, bearing the likeness of Martin's Grandfather, who looked uncannily like Martin. The tapestry begun, the Father's tale told, and the Abbey built, the adventurers settle down for a well deserved rest...
