I Want To Be A Good Guy!!!!

When I grow up what shall I be?
Its all so clear to me.
I want to be a Good Guy.
The kind whose name is in the sky.
I asked my Mommy how to do it?
and here is what she said:
Well my dear if its so clear,
you'll have to start right now.
In order for me to tell you how,
you must first tell me who you see?
In order to be a Good Guy,
Whose name is in the Sky!
Oh Mommy!!!
It is a Man with a Wife
and a good life.
It is a Man who is very smart,
and a Daddy with a Big Heart.
A man who comes home every night,
and keeps his children in his sight.
He works all day,
while his kids play.
A man who listens very well,
and of his story people tell.
Someone strong with lots of might,
the kind who makes it alright.
Like a Hero, not a Zero.
Oh Mommy?? Do you know the guy I mean?
Yes my dear its very clear.
I think you can be this Man you've seen.
Sit back and listen my Little Bit.
While I try to give you a little wit.
First you must attend your Schools,
for there you will learn all the Rules.
Then you must start, with what is in your heart.
Never ever loose the sight,
of what it takes to do what's right.
Don't be a fake, when you make a mistake.
Don't do it again, an you will win.
A Good Guy can look you in the eye,
because he never tells a lie.
When your friends try to lead you a stray,
tell them you will see them another day.
This guy knows whats really in,
when he does not commit a sin.
Remember your family is always near,
and in your heart hold them dear.
No matter what it is you've done,
know your family always loves you son.
Listen for the good voices,
when making your choices.
Try very hard not to decieve,
because bad choices never leave.
They will haunt you like a ghost,
even if you move from coast to coast.
So to yourself you must be true,
and if you do you won't be blue.
These are words of wisdom my son,
that I give to you.
Keep them in your heart each day,
and from them never stray.
For if you can remember them and follow thru,
To your heart your being true.
And then my son all good things will come to you.
Please don't sigh! my little son,
just try to set your mind to try.
For my little one,
Good Guys always come from little boys who try!!!!
