Looking Good

Engine & cowl assembly

I do not know what I was thinking, must have been too many Wildcats, but I first painted the cowl IJN green. Obviously corrected here. MM Gunmetal works out really well for a color match, and after weather should be about right.

Flaps open

I like stuff that is open.

Too bad you cannot really see much inside the cowl flaps

A sexy looking aeroplane.

Ominous even.

No problems or tricks to report through engine cowl assemblies.

I have broken away after step 6 for a variety of reason, none of which are important. It just makes it easier for me to do sub-assemblies first and separate, after a point (mainly for painting purposes). Many times the instructions do not follow that pattern.
