Stranger on a Strange world

Chapter One

I woke on this planet, not sure where I was. I was thristy, the sun was hot and I was probably badly sunburned. The last memories I could remember was this on going dream of drifting in space. I was dressed in a silver suit, which was torn in every place. It was too hot for this, so I jsut stripped and scouted my surroundings.

I’m not so sure what my name is, I’ve lost all recollection of my past, all but seems a dream. I wondered for some time on the surface of this world of desert. I came across some prints in the sand, along with some bones. The bones were not human. The prints were not either, 3 toes or so that’s what it looked like to me. With what I could tell it appeared to be a monkey but slightly altered. Massive jaw and curved spine. I followed these prints which ultimately faded from the winds.

At this point I still pondered if I was still dreaming. But the ground beneath me gave way and I fell into this abyss. I landed in some kind of forestry, which cushioned the impact. Maybe I broke my arm on the way down, for I heard a loud snap but that could have just been a branch. A branch? So there was life on this planet, plant life. I wasn’t sure How far I’d fallen. I looked up to see if the sky and hole was still visible but the plants blocked it away. I was in darkness. My wounds started to trigger and the pain set it. My legs were sticky with blood and I had a massive headache. Then out of the darkness I heard some sounds, like grunting drunks. I was hit in the back of the head; I got dizzy and felt my world fading away. It wasn’t till I saw the grimers that I felt helpless, paralyzed. I was hit by their tails that held stinging spines. I was being dragged. My head hit many artifacts on the way. I finally passed out.

When I came to, I was tied to a large wooden slate type table. These damn monkeys were trying to feed me to the plants. The plants on this planet most likely evolved from Venus flytraps. The only difference was that these were fucking huge. Large tentacles that tugged at my feet. The thorns dug into my skin. I cried out. The grimers seemed to be enoying my suffer, for they yelled and hooted back at me.

Then from the bush, the head of the plant came out. Giant mouth, no eyes and all teeth. Before it could bite me head off, 3 men ran from behind it and smashed it down with club looking objects. The monkeys fled through the trees and the other 2 men who when they got closer look more mutant that human. These men unleashed me and I was thankful. But upon further inspection, I found them only to have 3 toes, bigger hands and sharper teeth, they almost looked like african zulu warriors. I was out of the frying pan and into the fire. The 3rd joined with the other two and they stared at me and then looked to the sky and got down on there knees and began to mummble something. Later I would find out the meaning of this, In Praise of Bacchus.
