If you are reading this then i take it you didn't bother to buy a meditation book did you? You prefer the web , well that's OK but the web won't teach you all there is to know... Anyways I shal teach you the basics about meditating. What is meditation, FAQ:Isn't meditating like thinking of nothing while you're sitting cross legged with incense burning? A: No , first of all you can't stop yourself from thinking , you may slow down the process or keep your mind focused on something else , but you may never stop entirely from thinking... sorry! So what is meditating then? what are the benefits? why the fuck should you or I meditate? How would you like to feel no pain , to feel no stress , think so clearly that you could accomplish anything you dreamed of just by visualizing it(takes alto of practice) or maybe to experience a feeling that you never had before(A medium deep meditative state) there is almost infinite benefits to meditation. That is why you should meditate! So to get to the first point , what is meditation exactly? The police term and psychology term is different from the spiritual sense, to premeditate(police term and psychological term) means to basically picture it in your head and plan it. The spiritual term means training the mind , thus making it more powerful(the mind by the way is the most dangerous tool on the face of the earth but i wont get into that)you achieve this by calming the mind , emptying it from daily mind polluting shit, like repetitive crappy cheesy music etc.. also you can en power your mind by focusing on a single object or deity, all that to say that meditating is training your mind, like you would train your biceps by lifting weights. I would have to say that training your mind is of greater importance than training your muscles for your self centered image, or vanity! and as if not more important than physical health. Now that you understand this basic concept, you are inevitably compelled to meditate and you are probably dying to know how to meditate aren't you? well good! I shal teach you the basics then.
