THE PRICE OF VALOR
Thirty some odd years ago
In some far distant hole
men then like you and I died
and paid the price of valor.
The cause was lost
And their lives the cost:
These men like you and I
Who paid the price of valor.
But why, we ask?
Why did we answer this task;
These men like you and I
Who died for the price of valor?
Then, no answer came!
And today is sometimes the same
For these men still loved
living on The Wall of valor?
But, tomorrow the sun will rise
And, with hope, no young man dies
Like these young heroes
Who paid the price for valor.
