Chapter 11

:

"Okay, how do I look?" Taylor asked as he stood in the living room of his apartment. It had been a week and Sarah's condition was must better. She had even asked him to go to a friends party and he was getting ready to go.

"You look fine Tay. I think Sarah's out there, so you'd better be ready. It wouldn't look to hot if you had to keep the girl waiting," Jessie said as she looked out the window at Sarah's car parked in the driveway.

She and Zac had come over to Taylor's apartment and they were going to spend the night there, because Mackenzie and Zoe were staying at Walker's brothers' house and Avery was staying at her friend Jackie's house. Isaac was out with some friends, so Zac and Jessie were just gonna hang out and watch movies. Their parent's had gone out of town for a friend's wedding anniversary.

Sarah then knocked on the door, and Taylor opened it slowly. "Hi ready to go?" Sarah asked and looked at Taylor's clothes. He was wearing some loose fitting jeans, a white t-shirt and his grey jacket.

"Yeah, your early. I thought you were gonna be here at 8," He said as Jessie came up behind him. "Do ya wanna come in?"

"No we'd better get on the road. I wanna get there early, ya know to help set up," Sarah replied and motioned him out onto the porch.

"You guys have fun," Jessie said as she held the door open.

"Yes Ma'am Mrs. Hanson. I won't keep him out too long," Sarah said with a smile. And she saw Zac roll his eyes, as he stood beside his sister in the doorway.

"We've been driving for a while haven't we?" Taylor asked Sarah, as she turned onto a dirt road. Sarah was headed outside of Tulsa, near the derrek fields and Taylor was wondering where she was taking him.

"Yeah, Chris's place is way out here. But not to much further. I told him we might be a little late, since I didn't know how long we would be at your house," She said and glanced over at him.
"Man he's looking hot. This is gonna be fun," Sarah thought to herself before she put on the brakes.

Sarah parked the car in an open field in pitch blackness. Taylor got out of the car and Sarah rummaged around in the back seat until she found a flash light.

"Where are we?" He asked as Sarah took his side.
"Your not scared are you? It's only a party. It's called a Rave," She smiled and handed him a bright orange glow stick.

"What's this for?" He asked and waved the orange stick around. It looked like the same kind they had on tour for Zac and for the audience.
"Come on, we're already late," Sarah said and ran along ahead of him. Taylor caught up with her and was shocked when he heard loud pulsating music coming from what sounded like a very large sound system.

He and Sarah finally got to there destination, and Taylor stook amazed at the source of the music. There were about 2 hundred or so people all dancing around and laughing. Packed ontop of two large oil trucks were two Huge amps. Next to the trucks were a few tables filled with cups of what looked like water. There were also bowls of potato chips and cookies and a few large green trash cans.

"What is this place?!" Taylor yelled over the music to Sarah, who was standing beside him.
"You just dance? Come on, I'll show you," Sarah said and pulled him out to the middle of the people.

Sarah took both of Taylor's hands and held them up in front of her.
"Just move your feet. Feel the music flowing through you," Sarah yelled and began dancing in circles around him.

Taylor couldn't believe what he was doing until he looked up and realized they were in an open field. He saw the millions of stars in the sky, and they almost took his breathe away.

Sarah lost herself in the music and saw that Taylor was just standing there looking up at the stars.
"Come on. I want you to meet someone," Sarah said and pulled him toward one of the large tables full of food.

"Taylor, this is Rorie," Sarah introduced him to a small blonde girl who had a cup in her hand.
"Hi, your Taylor right? Sarah's told me alot about you," Rorie smiled and Taylor thought her to be very pretty.

"Taylor doesn't quite know what to do, so I thought maybe you could teach him a thing or to," Sarah said and saw Taylor's eyebrows raise.

"It's okay. Rorie's my best friend. Your safe with her. I'll meet you here at about 2 okay? Is that good with you?" Sarah asked Rorie, and then ran off into the crowd.

Is this your first time at a Rave?" Rorie asked Taylor, who just smiled and nodded. "That's okay. I've only been here a few times, so you'll get used to it. Want something to drink?"

"Yeah," Taylor replied before taking a cup from Rori. He took a sniff of the colorless liquid and Rorie gave a small laugh.

"It's like water. It has not color, no smell, but it'll make you feel great. Just try it," She urged and Taylor took a small sip. The liquid tasted real sweet, sorta like strawberry cool-aid. Except with out the color.

"Good isn't it?" Rorie asked and took another drink of her cup. Rori took Taylor's hand and pulled him out into the crowd of people dancing.
"I don't think Sarah's doing it right. Do it like this," She said and put her hands on Taylor's shoulders. He took the last few drops of the clear liquid and put his arms around her waist. Rorie came closer to him and he could smell the vanilla scent of what must have been her shampoo.

The two began weaving slowly back and forth to the beat of the music, and Taylor let go of his cup and let his fall to the ground.

"Your doing good," A voice said behind him, and Taylor turned his head to see Sarah dancing with a dark skinned boy.
"I think he's a pro," Rorie smiled and guided him over to the drink table.

"Where's some more of that stuff?" He asked Rorie handed him another cup filled with a dark liquid substance.

"It's called RoseMary. It's just like the clear stuff but it has a different effect. You'll love it," She said and he took a sip. This drink did taste sweet like cool-aid but it had a after taste like sorta like wine. Taylor found himself drinking the whole cup and her went back for another.

"What a minute Tay. Just a little at a time," Rorie said and found Taylor staring at her. He suddenly grabbed her hand and guided her over behind a tree.

"Were can we be alone?" He asked and cupped her face in his hands. Rorie looked into his eyes and Taylor went down to gently kiss her lips, before he was interuppted by Sarah's voice.

"Hey, what are you doing? It's about time to go," Sarah said and made a face at Rorie. Rorie slowly backed away from Taylor and ran off into the shadows.

"Where did she go?" He asked Sarah with a confused face.

"Oh, she had to go, but Im still here," Sarah replied and came closer to him. "Let's go back to the car okay Tay?" She asked with a warn in her voice.

Sarah pulled Taylor back to her car and she opened the door on the driver's side.
"We have to get out of here. Get in," She replied and was about to slam the door, when a hand stopped her.

"Not so fast young lady," A deep male voice commanded. Sarah turned to see a police flash light shining in her eyes. "You two are under arrest."
