Chapter 12
Jana walked into her and Nikki’s hotel room to find Nikki sitting on the couch watching TV. Nikki looked up at Jana smiling then looked back at the TV.
"So I’m guessing you aren’t mad anymore because you smiled at me." Jana said as she walked cautiously over to Nikki.
"Yeah I wasn’t really all that mad, you were drunk."
"Not really."
"Do you want me to be mad at you?" Nikki asked raising her eyebrows at Jana.
"No."
"Ok then. So where were you last night?" Nikki asked with a grin.
Jana smiled and said, "With Nick."
"Oh yeah?" Nikki asked turning off the TV and giving Jana her full attention.
"What?"
"Details damn it."
Jana laughed a little then sighed heavily and said, "I think I’m in love."
Nikki’s mouth gaped open and she stared at Jana for a good five minutes.
Jana just laughed at Nikki she knew she would get that reaction.
"With Nick?"
"Duh!"
"What happened?"
"We just talked and I don’t know-." Jana sighed again as she flopped down on the couch.
"What?"
"He’s perfect."
"No he’s not."
"To me he is. If you ask me to picture something of perfection I see him."
Nikki started laughing.
"What’s so funny?"
"You’re so cheesy."
"Eat it."
Nikki continued to laugh.
"See this is why I hate telling you things. You make fun of me."
"I’m sorry. It’s cute really."
"Whatever." Jana replied rolling her eyes.
"We leave tonight late."
"I know."
"Just thought I’d remind you."
"I think you’re trying to ruin my good mood."
"Fuck off."
Jana started to laugh and asked, "Where were you last night?"
Nikki looked around innocently and said, "Nowhere."
"Liar."
"I’m serious."
Jana gave her that ‘I know you’re lying’ look.
"Ok with this guy I met at the club."
"Oh yeah? Do tell."
"His name is Jake and I feel bad."
"Why?"
Nikki knocked on Jana’s head and said, "Hello, what about AJ?"
"He doesn’t have to know."
Nikki rolled her eyes.
"Is that all you’re going to tell me?"
Nikki crossed her arms and turned the TV back on and simply said, "Yes."
"Bitch."
"Hoe."
"Uterus lips."
"Fallopian face."
They both started laughing real hard then looked at each other.
"We have real fucked up names we use to make fun of each other with." Jana said laughing still.
Nikki shook her head in agreement as she continued to laugh.
"Where in the hell did we get those anyway?" Jana asked.
"Sam, remember the guy that called me tittie?"
"Oh yeah you and your stupid boobs."
Nikki started laughing.
"What?"
"You’re jealous."
"I could have told you that. They’re huge I want huge tits." Jana said.
"Sorry to break it to you but yours aren’t that small."
Jana rolled her eyes.
"Ok don’t believe me."
"I won’t." Jana said crossing her arms.
"Ok then." Nikki said.
They sat in silence watching TV until someone knocked on the door. Jana jumped up opened the door then sat back down on the couch.
"Hi Nick." She said pulling her knees to her chest.
Nick looked at them with confusion written all over his face. He looked around the room and said, "How did you know it was me?"
Jana smiled still looking at the TV and said, "I’m smart that way."
Nick closed the door and sat down on the couch between Nikki and Jana. "What are you watching?" He asked.
"Shhh…" Both girls said at the same time.
Nick put his hands up in defense and said, "Sorry excuse me."
"It’s O-town and a lot of it."
Nick rolled his eyes as he watched both girls stare at the TV.
"I have to piss." Jana said then jumped up and ran into the bathroom on commercial.
"You two are crazy." Nick said looking at Nikki.
"Why do you say that?"
"The way you are acting with the O-town shit."
"I’m not even going there."
"Why?"
"Because I think Jana likes you too much for me to kill you."
Nick laughed then looked at the TV and back at Nikki who had a serious look on her face. Nick stopped laughing and looked back at the TV.
"That’s what I thought."
"Did I miss anything?" Jana asked flopping back down on the couch.
"No."
"A little obsessed are we?" Nick asked Jana.
"No, dedicated. Plus O-town is cool and I haven’t seen them on TV in a long time."
Nick pouted and said, "Life is rough."
"Shut up." Jana replied hitting him in the arm.
"I want to take you to dinner tonight." Nick said looking in Jana’s eyes.
"Why?"
"Because I won’t see you for a while after tonight and I want our last night for a while to be special."
"Awe." Nikki said with eyes still on the TV.
Jana smiled and said, "What time? Where we going? What should I wear?"
"About seven, not sure yet and nothing."
"What?"
Nick started laughing and said, "A dress may be nice."
"A dress? You really don’t know me that well do you?"
Nick shrugged.
"I hate dresses."
Nick pouted and said, "For me?"
Jana sighed and said, "Ok, I’ll buy one."
"Ok whatever floats your boat."
"Water." Jana replied sarcastically.
Nick rolled his eyes then stood up.
"You’re leaving?"
"Yeah I have to do some shit for tonight and you need to get a dress." He said then leaned down and gave Jana a slow gentle kiss. Jana moaned into his mouth a little while Nikki tried not to laugh. They separated and Nick smiled at her then turned around and walked out of the room.
"I guess we are going shopping huh?"
Jana sighed and said, "Uh huh."
Nikki rolled eyes and got up from the couch.
"Get your ass up and get ready." Nikki yelled from the bathroom.
Jana sat there staring into space thinking of nothing in particular when she heard her cell phone ring. She jumped up and started running around the room trying to follow the noise. She laughed at herself when she found it, and the obvious place it was at.
"Hello?" She asked.
"Jana?" The voice on the other end asked. Jana froze she knew that voice. That voice belonged to one person she never imagined would call her. That one person was Shawn.
