I Miss You
"What? I didn’t even say anything," Tony replied defensively.
"I know what you were thinking."
"Whatever."
"I’m serious, we’ve been here one whole week and you’re already driven me insane."
"Man I’m sensing some hostility in this area of the van." Shane said pointing over to Jake.
"Fuck you."
"Whoa now boys that’s enough," Madison mumbled from the backseat.
"He started it," Tony replied pouting.
"What are you 12 now?" Madison asked sitting up in her seat.
Tony turned around sticking his tongue out at Madison then turned back around crossing his arms across his chest.
"Man you guys are all in bad moods," John said looking at back at them.
"Well, we’ve been together too long," Jake said looking back at John.
"It’s not that long you guys before you get a break, a mighty long break I must add."
"Bout fucking time," Jake muttered under his breath as he leaned his head against the window closing his eyes.
"A damn well deserved break too," Shane replied looking out the window.
"I think if I hear you say you miss Todd one more time I may lose it. I might have to shoot you in the foot," Jake snapped at Tony.
"Whatcha doing?" Aaron asked Nick as he skipped into the room Nick was staying in.
"Haven’t you heard of knocking?"
"Yep, but the door was open nothing to knock on."
Nick rolled his eyes and turned away from Aaron as he waited for Madison to pick up her cell phone.
"Guess what."
"What?"
"Mom wants to meet Madison," Aaron replied with a huge grin on his face.
Nick turned around and eyed Aaron suspiciously. "What?"
"Uh huh. She said when you two are on your little break that you have to come here so she can meet Madison."
"No."
"Hello?" Madison asked into her cell phone.
"Hi sweetie."
Aaron started to making gagging noises as he acted liked he was going to stick his finger down his throat.
Nick glared at him and said, "How is it over there?"
"I’m tired. I’m hungry. I can’t sleep over here for some damn reason. And I miss you."
Nick smiled into the phone and said, "Me too."
Madison sighed as she leaned back against the headboard of the bed. "It won’t be too long before I get to see you again. I saw you on TV the other day Tony and I both raced to see the TV. You should have heard what he said. It was like, ‘it’s so not fair that you get the painfully gorgeous guy.’ Or something like that. It was rather amusing."
"Sounds like it."
"Well you know Tony he’s a funny character."
"So when do I get to see you again?" Nick asked as he watched Aaron finally leave the room.
"Uh, two weeks if that."
"Seriously, it went by pretty fast."
"Yeah."
"So you getting ready for bed?" Nick asked grinning as he laid down on the bed with one hand under his head.
Madison grinned and said, "Maybe."
"God you’re a tease."
"Am not."
"Oh yes you are."
"Whatever you say." "So you know we’ve never really talked about you know sex."
Madison pressed her lips together so she wouldn’t laugh. It was just the way he said that, that made it amusing. "Birds and the bees?"
"No, you know us."
"No I don’t know. What are you getting at? You aren’t suggesting that we start having sex are you?"
"Well we’ve been together for a while."
"3 months."
"That’s a while."
"Not long enough."
"What’s wrong with you? Why are you acting like this?"
"Why do you always get so mad?"
"Because I care about you I want to be able to express that."
"You can express that in different ways."
"I know but it’s different."
Madison rolled her eyes as she started to feel slightly uncomfortable talking about this.
"Unless you’re scared or something."
"Nick this is so stupid why are you making this into a big deal? Can’t you just accept the fact that I may not be ready for that?"
"Are you a virgin?"
"What does that have to do with that?"
"Are you?"
"God you say it like it’s a bad thing."
"Well it could be."
"What? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard."
"Whatever. I’m going to go I’m tired of arguing with you."
"You’re the one who started it."
"Oh that’s mature. Bye." Nick said and then hung up the phone.
"God what the hell is his problem?" Madison asked herself out loud.
"He’s sexually frustrated. He has a hot girlfriend who won’t give him any what do you expect?"
"Tony, were you hiding in the bathroom?" Madison asked as she crossed her arms across her chest.
Tony grinned as he sat down on the end of the bed.
"He’s such a jerk sometimes, but then he can totally be a sweetheart when he wants to be."
"I’ve said this before and I’m going to say it again. You deserve so much better."
Madison sighed rolling her eyes. "Tony, I really do love him."
"Yeah, I know and I’m happy for you but he is obviously not in the same place as you right now."
"And that’s fine. He will be."
"What makes you so sure?" Tony asked cocking an eyebrow.
"I just know," Madison replied as her cell phone started to ring. "Hello?"
"I’m sorry. I was a little out of line. Right before you answered Aaron came in and told me my mom wanted to meet you and that doesn’t always turn out all that good. I’m sorry."
"It’s ok," Madison replied smiling while Tony shook his head and walked out of the room.
"You know I’ll wait for you." Nick said quietly.
Madison sat there a minute letting it register what he had just said. "I really miss you."
"Yeah, ditto."
"It won’t be long though."
"Yeah, it’ll be great when we can sleep in and just lie there and cuddle you know?"
Madison smiled as she got the butterfly feeling in her stomach and the she started to yawn.
"Getting tired sweetie?"
"Yeah."
"Ok well I’ll talk to you later."
"Alright."
"Bye Madison."
"Bye Nick I love you," Madison replied. She sat there waiting for Nick to say something.
Nick sat there a minute and then just hung up the phone.
