It'll Be Okay

Chapter 23

I’m Here For You

"I met a guy! I met a guy! I… met… a… guy!" Tony yelled as he ran into Madison’s hotel room, into the bedroom and he started jumping up and down on her bed.

Madison groaned as she rolled over.

"Come on get up I have to tell you this. You were already asleep when we got back last night, come on I have to tell you."

"What?" Madison mumbled against the pillow as she pulled the cover over her head.

"I met a guy a wonderful amazingly perfect guy." Tony said as he flopped down onto the bed and then turned on his side facing her.

"Good."

"Good? That’s all you can say? Good?"

"I’m sorry Tony god it is early in the damn morning and you did you just wake up me."

"Well, god sorry to bother you." Tony replied sighing as he crossed his arms as he started to pout.

Madison sighed and opened her eyes looking at him. "Tell me."

Tony grinned at her and said, "I think I’m in love."

Madison cocked an eyebrow and nodded slightly encouraging him to go on.

"His name is Todd. He’s so gorgeous it should be illegal, like Nick Carter gorgeous. He’s younger though he’s only 20, so you know I feel old around him. But he’s just great- he has a great sense of humor and you’ll just have to meet him because he is perfect for me."

"That’s great. When are you going to see him again?"

"He’s going to travel with us. He’s on break from college."

"Seriously?"

Tony grinned and nodded.

"Wow, he must like you."

"I think he does, we talked all night last night about anything and everything. It was fantastic."

"I’m happy for you, you’re glowing I haven’t seen you this happy in long time."

"I really like him." Tony said giggling.

Madison started laughing and said, "That’s good, can I go back to sleep now?"

"You can when you tell me what got you so upset yesterday after you got off the phone with Nick. You said you’d tell me today."

"It’s nothing I think I was blowing it out of proportion. He was just commenting on my outfit."

"What was he saying? Like you looked good or bad? Or like you should never wear it again? Like obsessive comments that should worry me?"

"No, it was nothing like that. He said I looked good and that it was a little revealing. That’s all no big deal." Madison replied shrugging.

"No big deal?"

"No big deal." Madison said nodding.

"Ok."

"Ok, I’ll see you later." Madison replied yawning.

"Yep later girlie." Tony said and then kissed her forehead and walked out of the room.

"Ok you guys after this we’re leaving for Cleveland for two shows." John said standing up and walking over to the door.

"Are you serious? Maybe I should start reading the schedule." Madison said as she brushed her hair.

"Are you going to tell your mom?" Tony asked cocking an eyebrow at Madison.

Madison shrugged as John started talking again.

"Don’t be late. You have until eight."

"Blah." Tony said making a face as John walked out of the room.

"So we are going to Madison’s hometown?" Jake asked propping his feet on the table in front of the couch.

"No, I lived in a small town about three hours from Cleveland."

"Oh." Jake replied nodding.

"So are you going to tell your parents? I’m sure they liked to come see you." Tony said.

"Doubt it."

"Well you know-." Tony started to say when someone knocked on the door. Tony looked at his watch and said, "Its Todd, he’s here." And then ran over to the door.

Madison laughed as she sat down next to Jake.

"Hi Todd." Tony said excitedly as he grabbed the tall dark headed guy and hugged him. Tony turned around facing the others and said, "Ok Todd this is my best friend Madison. Then we have the other two guys in the band Jake and Shane."

"Hi." Madison said smiling as she waved a little.

Todd walked over to Madison and hugged her tightly. "I feel like I know you Tony never stopped talking about you."

"Really?" Madison replied as he let go of her.

"It’s nice to meet all of you." Todd said as he looked at all of them.

"Ditto." Shane said looking up from his magazine for a brief moment to look at Todd.

"Yeah." Jake replied as he stood up and walked over to the door. "I’m going for some food." He said and then walked out the door.

"You’ll have to excuse Jake he has a stick permanently stuck up his ass." Tony said to Todd.

Todd started to laugh rather annoyingly as he looked at Tony. Shane cut his eyes over to Madison and looked at her with wide eyes. She looked back at him laughing quietly.

"So Todd you want to get something to eat?"

"Yeah that’d be great."

"Ok, see you guys later." Tony said as he grabbed Todd’s hand and walked out the door.

"That was rude." Madison said crossing her arms.

"What?"

"He didn’t even offer for me to come with him."

Shane started laughing and said, "You really think they are going to get something to eat?"

"Huh?" Madison asked confused.

"Never mind; do you want to go get something to eat?"

Madison pouted and replied, "No."

"Alright I’ll bring you a doggie bag."

"Wow, I’m excited now." Madison replied as her cell phone started to ring. "Hello?"

"Hello Madison dear how are you?"

Madison rolled her eyes as she flopped back down on the couch and waved at Shane as he walked out of the door. "I’m good and how are you and daddy?"

"We are wonderful dear. Well you’re father hasn’t been to happy because I made him give up watching sports for lent."

"Oh."

"Did you give something up dear? You better have. Did you go to church on Ash Wednesday?"

"Mom, we’ve been busy I haven’t really had time to do that."

"Oh I see now that you’re in a band making secular music you are to busy for God."

Madison sighed as she closed her eyes.

"Well, you know it’s been a while since I’ve seen you. We miss you. Carly misses you too you know as well as Melissa and Tommy. So when are you coming home?"

Madison groaned quietly. "Well we are coming to Cleveland to do two shows tomorrow."

"Oh really then we might have to make a trip up there to see you. I’m not sure how Melissa and Tommy will be on that long of a trip but since they are still little they could sleep right."

"You’re going to bring the whole family?"

"Sure why not we all want to see what’s been keeping you from the family." Madison’s mother replied as the hotel phone started to ring.

"Hold on mom the hotel phone is ringing." Madison said as she set her phone down and walked over to the hotel room phone.

"Hello?"

"You sound depressed."

Madison smiled and said, "I’m not anymore."

"What’s wrong sweetie?"

Madison smiled even bigger as she sat down with a funny feeling in her stomach. "What isn’t wrong Nick?"

"Bad day?"

"More than that."

Nick started laughing.

"Yeah I know that’s the name of one of your songs."

"Yeah." Nick replied laughing still. "So wanna tell me what’s wrong? I’m a good listener."

"Well Tony met a guy last night and now he’s like attached to the hip and I’m just jealous I guess. He hasn’t been like that in a long time. I’m not used to it and then my mother called and that’s always so eventful. But now I’m talking to you so I’m all better."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, it’s just your voice puts a smile on my face." Madison replied as she covered her eyes with her hand shaking her head.

"That’s what I’m here for; well that among other things."

"Good, because Tony’s new boy toy is going to be traveling with us so I may have to vent to you about them."

"That’s cool I’m here for you baby."

Madison started laughing and said, "Oh shit I forgot all about my mom she’s on my cell phone waiting. Can I call you back?"

"Sure."

"Ok bye." Madison replied smiling.

"Bye."

"Mom?" Madison asked as she picked up her cell phone but her mom had hung up on her. Madison looked at the phone debating on whether or not she should call her back. Finally, she put her phone down shrugging and then laid back on the couch smiling.
